Question about Canon PowerShot SD800 IS / IXUS 850 IS Digital Camera
Here is a little diagram for that lock so you have it in the correct position to take your pictures. You do need to be careful not to twist the card while inserting it in the camera because it will push that switch into the lock position again.
Here is the best view I have of the switch and SD card it's shown in the unlock position and lock is down away from the gold contacts. After the diagram I also have more instructions on what to do with your memory card.
I've tried for several minutes to locate a PDF manual download with out success. What I'm suggesting you do once the card lock s in the correct position is that you format the memory card. The sequence should be in your set up. Format the card not delete Format the card in the camera not the computer the two programmings don't work together
