you can not do any thing with re-installation. Run the windows 7 or XP setup & make it working mode first. Then take a back up of your data. After format complete hard driver & install a fresh copy of operating system.

unplug and wait a min. or so, plug in, try again. if that fails, reboot, try a system restore/recovery. If that fails, boot to safe mode with networking, download MALWAREBYTES freeware at : http://www.filehippo.com/download_malwarebytes_anti_malware/ Run a FULL SCAN, DELETE ALL RESULTS, REBOOT. Start you're computer on safe mode an run you're antivirus

Using the F8 Method:

  1. Restart your computer.
  2. When the computer starts you will see your computer's hardware being listed. When you see this information start to gently tap the F8 key on your keyboard repeatedly until you are presented with the Windows 7 Advanced Boot Options screen as shown in the image below.

  3. Using the arrow keys, select the Safe Mode option you want.
  4. Then press the enter key on your keyboard to boot into Windows 7 Safe Mode.
  5. When Windows starts you will be at a typical logon screen. Logon to your computer and Windows 7 will enter Safe mode.
  6. Do whatever tasks you require, and when you are done, reboot to go back into normal mode.

Laptop turns on, but won't boot up. Happened after son deleted limewire.

First of all, restore your system to previous state booting from the Safe Mode. To enter safe Mode, press F8 several times while the system boots up. You'll see a dark screen with white text. There you can select "Safe Mode" using you up-down keys and Hit Enter to select. After it is booted, restore, to do this, Start - All Programs - Accessories - System Tools - System Restore and then select a date when it was working fine. If this doesn't work, please run a virus scan using an updated antivirus. You can also run a registry cleaning. Good luck. Thanks for using FixYa.

My HP Pavilion dv7 Series will not boot up either in normal or safe mode have tried vista recovery no good will not even restore back to older date

At this point, your operating system has crashed. Sadly, the recovery will not work at this stage. Your next option is to get all your information transferred to another computer and then install the operating system of your choice. HP dv9700 was working fine. Re booted after it froze and now it's super slow. 20 min for password screen to come up. HELP!!

If it is extremely slow, then what has happened it alot of windows has corrupted. If you have your recovery disc, the simplest method is to stick in the first disc and reboot to it.

Fix the boot sector with it.

Hp pavilion a1220n shuts dwn after loading hp8500 pr drv xpsp3 os

If you can boot into safe mode, then once in safe mode open system restore and then restore to a couple days prior to the install of the hp drivers. This should fix the problem. If you need to know how to get into system restore let me know your operating system (Vista or XP)

Windows error

First, make sure there are no discs in any of the drives as this could disrupt the boot process. Prior to seeing the HP screen you should get a prompt as to press F10 to go into system setup. Once in system setup choose the option to go to system restore or system recovery. From there you should be able to restore your computer to a sytem restore point that was set up with a checkpoint at set intervals by Windows XP. If that is unsuccessful you may have to utilize your recovery discs.
Good Luck.
