Question about Dell Inspiron 1525 Notebook
Unfortunately this is a known problem with the Inspiron 1500 series motherboard. DELL has not take proper responsibility for this defect and only addresses laptops that are still under warranty. The problem starts from the recharging circuity on the motherboard and has the "kiss of death" syndrome. You can replace the charger and battery and it will survive for a week and need to be replaced again. Unfortunately, the only solutions are to get DELL to replace the motherboard if it is still under warranty or cut your losses, dump the Inspiron, and get a new laptop.
