Calciom build up from misting condser. Got any ideas withouy damage done to condenser???? GREG

Gregg, make a solution of 50% White Distilled Vinegar & 50% Bottled Distilled Water (enough to fill the tank). Empty any remaining water from the tank, before filling it with the 50/50 solution.
Then, plug the unit in and turn it ON and allow it to run for about 3 minutes. Turn the unit OFF and allow it to sit overnight. The following morning empty the tank and refill it with Bottled Distilled Water. Turn the unit ON and after several minutes of operation, place you hand in front of the misting nozzle to see if you feel any mist. If you do, allow the unit to run until the tank is have empty. Doing this will flush the remainder of the solution from the unit. Empty the remaining Bottled Distilled Water from the tank. I would highly recommend using Bottled Distilled Water in the future, rather than Tap Water. As it's mineral and calcium free.

Hope this helped you and thanks for choosing FixYa.

How do I stop my Air conditioner from throwing a mist inside the room?

Cleaning the air intake filter and the cooling coils will help. But, as long as there is high humidity outside, the unit will continue to mist to some degree.

Hope this helps you and thanks for choosing FixYa.

Why is mist blowing out of my window unit AC? it is odorless and still blowing cold air from one side. Its just like a mist but not wet.

nicki - That's normal. It happens when the humidity level is high. It's actually removing the humidity from your house. There's nothing to worry about, unless it's blowing into the house. In which case, turn the unit OFF and allow it to thaw. The humidity must be high enough to form ice crystals on the condensing coils. While the unit is OFF, remove the air intake filter and clean it. Make sure it's thoroughly dry, before reinstalling it.

That should solve take care of it.

I have a Duracaraft Humidifier DWM-250 series. It was working perfectly fine for 2 days. Then it stopped producing mist. I have cleaned the heating element, not used it for almost 24 hours just in case...

It may have a scale and mineral build up, prior to using bottled water.

To clean it, empty the tank of any water that's already in it and fill it with a 50/50 solution of White Vinegar and Bottled Distilled Water. Allow the solution to sit in the tank for 30 minutes, before turning the humidifier ON. Once the unit is ON allow it to run for at least 30 minutes, then check to see it if it's misting, by holding your hand in front of the nozzle. If it is, allow it to run until the tank is 3/4's empty. Turn the unit OFF, unplug it and pour out the remaining solution. Then fill the tank with Bottled Distilled Water and run the unit for one hour. This will allow enough time, for the Distilled Water to flush the system. After that, fill it again with Bottled Distilled Water and use the humidifier as you normally do.

If it didn't start misting when you turned it ON. Allow the solution to set for 3 hours and then try it again.

Hopefully, this will solve your problem. It does 95% of the time. Please let me know if it worked for you. Thanks.

Problem with Germ Guardian Humidifier H2000B - Light turns red and the mist stops coming out after a few seconds of turning on the humidifier. There is plenty of water in the tank and the device is clean.

There are a few things to check that would cause the empty light to go on and the mist to stop.

Rinse the lid on the bottom of the blue tank. After you rinse it with warm water, dry it and then push the spring on the outside of the lid, it should move easily. Check the inside of the lid and make sure the rubber gasket is securely in place.

Remove the spray guide, and on the base of the humidifier to the side of the ultra sonic disk is a small white plastic pole with a washer-ring around it. This is the float, make sure it moves easily up and down the pole. Use white vinegar on a cloth or paper towel and wipe the pole down.

Reassemble the humidifier, use room temperature water in the tank, set to warm mist and let run for 30-40 minutes. Please make sure the humidifier is on a flat level surface, no carpeting or towel underneath.

Try cleaning the filters and running a couple of degrees warmer. If this does not work have the refrigerant levels checked by a professional.
