How to get my tomtom one N14644 to turn on

First, make sure that your TomTom battery is (fully) charged. Then press the ON/OFF power button ... to turn it on. If it still doesn't turn on, try to RESET it ... using a "pin" (e.g. paper clip) to push up the RESET hole at the bottom of the device.

I turn on my tom tom go 700 and the screen appears with a picture of the tom tom in a green box and then it stops and i wont turn of

If your TomTom GO/ONE/RIDER is frozen, won’t turn on or does not behave as it should, it can be fixed by resetting or restarting your TomTom device.
A reset will not delete any data from your device, with the exception of SMS messages on TomTom GO500/700.
  1. Connect your GO/ONE/RIDER to the power charger. If you have a power charger, use it to power your TomTom GO/ONE/RIDER. If you do not have a power charger, make sure that the battery in your TomTom GO/ONE is fully charged.
Note: You need to charge your GO/ONE for at least 2 hours using the 12-24V cigarette lighter adapter.
  2. Reset your GO/ONE/RIDER. To reset the unit, you simply have to push a straightened paper clip (or something similar) into the RESET hole on the device.
    • On TomTom GO 910/710/510, the RESET hole is located on the bottom of the device.

    • On TomTom GO 700/500/300, the RESET hole is located on the bottom of the device with the word RESET right next to it.

    • On TomTom ONE, the RESET hole is located on the bottom of the device, with the word RESET right next to it (just below the SD card slot).

    • On TomTom RIDER, the RESET hole is on the bottom of the device, behind the SD card door. When opening the SD card door you will see the RESET hole on the left, right underneath the SD card slot.

  3. Your TomTom GO/ONE/RIDER is now reset. Finally, press and hold the power button for 2 seconds.

Hi pennimasi if you have a tomtom one like pictured below, you reset it by using a paper clip to insert in the reset hole on the bottom of the gps "remove your sd card first before trying to reset it"..

depending on which tomtom one you have, it will not have an sd card....you can click on the picture to see detailed instructions if you need to.

Tom tom go 710 wont switch on

Press the tiny reset button...

You'll need the pointy end of a paperclip or a pin.

Turn your TomTom upside down and look at the underneath, with the screen facing away from you.

Starting at the back and moving towards the screen, you'll see a small traingular-shaped piece of rubber, then a plastic area with a small hole to the left, then the circuit board with all the little gold connectors.

It's that small hole that's the reset button, push your paper clip or pin in there. Your TomTom should reset straight away, but sometimes it takes a few tries for various lengths of time.

Enjoy your newly restored TomTom!
