Not sure if fixya has you labeled for the wrong category,or if this is truely a microwave???or If its a Garbage Disposal, then look under the bottom side for a "RED" square reset switch and push up on this red switch to reset the motors power, but be sure the disposer is NOT jammed by any foreign material, such as silverware, food bones, etc.,if it wont turn, then use the units reversal hex wrench(supplied with most disposers) to back it up and with power OFF clean out the disposer sump, then with a LOT of fresh water try to start it and see if this does the trick

My keurig coffee maker displays TCO open. what does this mean and how do I fix it

Hi,
That stands for "thermal cutout open" in other words the thermal switch activated because the thermostat did not turn off the heating element and it got too hot.
To fix it you would need to replace the TCO, and the thermostat...if you can even find the parts....they are not common parts that fail and will be very hard if not impossible to find...then add to that the time to replace them and you will be better off buying a new machine...

We have a r-1406 power to outlet nothing at microwave is ther a fuse or reset in machine

No reset, and if it's totally dead, it may be the fuse, the magnetron's temperature fuse, or the cavity thermal cutout.

We have the service manual and have uploaded it to our site here to help you.

The fuse should be accessible just behind the grill.

At our Web site, we have a video available showing how to remove a typical over the range grille and/or control panel assembly in under 5 minutes.

Accessing the oven cavity thermal cutout will require you to remove the oven from the wall, then remove the outer cover.

If so, the installation instructions are very handy, and it's best to have two people since the microwave can be heavy and awkward.

The installation instructions are included in your owner's manual.

If for some reason you don't have yours, you can download it from our site here.

Came in today; our spacemaker ge microwave xl 1400 would not light up, turn table would not turn, no date or time or anything registering on panel

  1. Check the circuit breaker.
  2. Verify that the outlet to oven has power (plug in a trouble light or other small device).
  3. If you have power there, take the oven off the wall, remove the top cover and check whether you have power at the controller board. (If you don't know where to put the voltmeter leads, take the oven to an appliance tech to perform these tests.) If you power at the low voltage transformer, the board has failed.
  4. If not, check the three thermal cutouts and the fuse. One thermal cutout is located on top of the oven, most likely under the light bulb cover. The next is fastened to the magnetron, and the last is down near the bottom just behind the controller module. If any of these is open, the oven will not work. If the fuse is blown, look for a short circuit before replacing it (check the varistor on the controller board first). The varistor is listed as a separate repair part; don't get soaked for a controller board if this is bad.

There is still power but it will not turn on

It may be a bad fuse or a bad magnetron thermal cutout or oven cavity thermal cutout.

There should be a "mini-manual" hidden inside the unit behind the control panel or hidden on the left side behind the grille, which is very helpful when troubleshooting, & testing.
