Focus- screen assembly can be bought seperately. its overall resistance is important when buying a new one. It is easy to reconnect also. If its resistance [measured in MOhms] goes less, the unit will heat up and won't get proper focus and screen voltage out, resulting poor quality picture. It will damge the LOT [Line Output Transformer] also. There will be a number marked on it, indicating its resistance and seperations. After replacing it, you have to adjust both focus and screen voltages to get a well defined picture.
You haven't given any details about your TV, so I can't give you furthermore information in this matter. If you wants more assistance, feel free to get me through Fixya. OK.
