If it is a black/white printer then the black printer cartridge could be the problem or the drum unit.

My Canon MP780 when trying to copy only prints out gray shade, when I try to print a color picture it appears solarized, Any ideas?


This may be your color cartridge is dry or make sure you not giving print in grayscale mode.

Paper turns gray


it is written in the Manual:

If the amount of background toner shading becomes unacceptable, the procedures described below may help to clear the condition:

* Increase the density setting. This will decrease the amount of background shading.
* Change the paper to a lighter basis weight.
* Check the printer's environment' very dry (ow humidity) conditions can increase the amount of background shading.
*Replace the toner cartridge.
*Replace the transfer roller

I just bought a Sharp AR-M208N copier. It says it's 'grayscale'. What does that mean? Can I get color copies?


Gray scale is the different shades of gray this relates to black and white I am not familiar with this model but is does not sound like it is color

Open the toner supply dor and see if there are any color toner cartridges also google this model you will know more

does the black do a complete nozzle test print.if not clean several times and try nozzle test again
