ITunes.exe has been set to run in compatibility mode for an older version of Windows. For best result, turn off compatibility mode of iTunes before you open it.

> 1. Make sure iTunes isn't running.
2. Click Start, type regedit, then press Enter.
3. Navigate to this Registry location:HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Micr... NT\CurrentVersion\AppCompatFlags\Layers
4; Its better you clean/repair Windows registry with RegInOut.
4. Look in the main pane for a key that refers to iTunes. If you find one, delete it, then exit the Registry.
5. Start iTunes. The offending message should be gone!

I have an issue running Itunes on an Asus laptop with windows 10. When I click to preview a song iTunes gives an error message saying that "iTunes has encountered an error" then it closes the program.

You might need to update iTunes and see if that fixes it. Or you can look up the performance logs on your computer and it will tell you what the error is. You can then look up that error on the net to see if the solution is out there.

Ipod touch doesn't get sync....

1. Do a reset. Hold down the button on the tip of the iPod touch AND the one button at the bottom of the screen together for at least 10 seconds. The "Slide to unlock" slider will mementarily appear, keep pressing then the Apple logo will appear. Let the iPod re-start. It has now been re-set. 2. Do a 'Restore'. Connect your iPod with the cable that came with it to the USB port on your computer. In iTunes, click and (Restore). 3. Try re-installing iTunes on your computer then do a 'Restore'.

Itunes drivers for importing and burning CDs/DVDs missing where can i get them? Bill

It seems that some users installing iTunes 8 on Windows systems are encountering an error message:

“ERROR: The registry settings used by the iTunes drivers for importing and burning cds and dvds are missing… Please re-install iTunes”

iTunes uses GEAR software drivers for importing and burning CD’s & DVD’s. Re-installing (or installing the latest GEAR drivers seems to fix this problem. No reboot required for this install.

You can get the current GEAR drivers here: http://www.gearsoftware.com/support/drivers.cfm

If this does not fix your problem download a fresh installer for iTunes here: http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/

Uninstall iTunes, reboot, & then do a fresh install of iTunes.

Hope This Help You

Itunes 8 continues to not open up (

Right click on it and select run as administrator. if that doesn't work.

Remove itunes from add or remove programs, do a search for itunes on your harddrive and delete all folders with itunes or apple on it. there are probably some files in documents and settings folder that need to be removed.

basiclly the itunes and apple software needs to be fully removed and then reinstalled.
