Hi,
Check and see if the motor is getting power and not running...if it is getting power and not running then you have a motor with a flat spot...
The motor will have to be changed...
if no power to the motor then the timer contacts maybe going bad, and the timer will need to be replaced...

Hello &
Welcome to FixYa The click
sound that you hear can be from the lid switch that is not allowing the unit to
spin. When the lid switch goes bad the washer won't spin and at times won't
even agitate. You can try to jump the lid switch before you replace it and see
if that makes any difference. Please get back to me if you have any other
questions. Kevin

Thanks for the input. The click I was refering to is the sound of the motor/ clutch engaging. I will look at the door switch but was wondering if another switch is responsible for the clutch engagement?
thanks
I bypassed the door switch to no avail. Still the same issue. The switch needs to be activated twice during each wash to initiate the spin cycle.
