I have a audiobahn a4002t. it will not power off when the key is off and removed. i have even tried disconnecting the remote wire and this does not help. i have tested the radio for functionality of the blue remote wire by borrowing a friend's amp and installing it. my friend's amp installed does power off. any ideas what could be wrong with my a4002t?

More than likely the amps internal relay that is powered by the remote lead has shorted open, allowing the amp to connect power and ground regardless of the remote signal.

Should be a relatively inexpensive fix at an electronics repair shop.

My amp and stereo keep shutting on and off.

It would make sense that if your radio turns off, your amp will shut off too since its likely your amps remoae power signal is delivered via the light-blue wire from your radio.

so the question is, why is your radio shutting off.

Odds are your using an aftermarket radio and your ground wire is poorly connected.

check it.

When i connect battery wires to the amplifier it just blows the fuse, i have tried putting the fuse in last and it does the same thing? please help

First - disconnect ALL wires.... Power, Ground, Remote, RCA, Speakers.

Reconnect only power, and ground, and remote wire - being extra careful there are no wire strands sticking out of the terminal.

Now power on the amplifier.
If the fuse on the amplifier blows - the problem is internal and should be repaired by an electrical repair shop familiar with Car Audio Amplifiers - as Audiobahn is no longer in business - repair schematics are hard to come acros, and parts must be sourced elsewhere.

Audiobahn a4002t beats steady and alternates between power and protect mode. need help.

That usually happens when your amp keeps clipping and basically doesn't have enough juice to push the speakers. You can try to ground the amp better, preferably to the chassis, and you can also get a capacitor and see if that helps keep the steady power going to it. There are those times that the amp is just getting old, but I would try these simple solutions first. Hope this helps.

No sound protection light on.

Either blown subs, or bad amp.. Disconnect the subs, and try turning the amp on, if the amp is still in protect then your amp is bad, if the protect light goes off, then your subs are bad, or possibly wired at to low of an impedance, but I don't think that will trigger the protect on an Audiobahn amp.

Audiobahn A1500HCT in Protection Mode

try just hooking up a power wire and ground wire only. disconnect your subs from your amp along with the remote wire and RCA's. if you have some jumper wires or run a wire from the power terminal to the remote wire. YOUR amp should come on, if it still stay's in protection mode it might be shot... hope this was helpful, i couldn get my a2300hcx to come on and tryed this and it came on turns out it was my remote wire was bad of the head unit...
