Question about Goodman GMS90703BXA Heater

1 Answer

We have a goodman gmpn100-4 that won't work. There is a light switch in the electrical source from the main power source, and if you turn it off, then on again, the unit light flashes 3 times. When you turn it on, you can get it to get hot and run for about 30 seconds, then it shuts off. What causes this, and where can I get a diagram so that I can fix it? Thanks so much!

As far as the manual it will have the user manual in it... call 817-831-3772 this is a goodman number i have located in fort worth texas they should be able to fax or mail you a copy of your manual..
the operation of the furnance the thermostat calls for heat and the enducer draft motor comes on and runs pulling a negative pressure on the hose that runs from the housing over to a pressure switch.. once the pressure switch closes then power is sent to your hot surface ignitor(glow plug)
and then once it gets hot a milivolt current is sent to gas valve and is told to open for a few seconds. there are also limit devices around the burner that usually are resetable just push them and a high heat limit that if tripped usually will cause fan to run non stop...take door panel off and hold door switch and watch operation where does is fail in what part of operation....good luck to you hope this helps please vote.....

I believe that I am experiencing the same problem with my furnace. The gas will shut off shortly after the hot surface ignitor (glow plug) turns off. I can force the valve to stay open to let the furnace heat the house. This problem is intermittent and after forcing the value to stay open, the furnace will run normally for 6-12 hours and then needs attention again. I've replaced the computer board with no luck. The last part in my thinking is that the valve is defective. Any assistance anyone has with this would be appreciated.

Start then not start,no power to inestion or starter ,then start and run a while shut it off then wont turn over again

It may be a bad ignition switch, that or a loose or bad electrical connection somewhere. Check for corroded terminals in the power distribution box near the battery. If no help, you may need an electrical diagnosis of the ignition circuit and the ignition switch.
When it won't respond, do lights and other accessories work? If no, it's a main power problem near the battery or distribution box. If yes, it sounds like the ignition switch or the wiring from the switch to the starter or to the ignition system.

you have to shut your main power down at the breaker box. It can be off for about ten min.

I hope this works for you.

My goodmans tv switched itself off and won't work

Make sure that the electricity is working
Make sure that every connection is in place the
scart connection as well.
Disconnect and wait for 2-5 minutes
and connect and start.

If that does not work look for troubleshooing in the manual or click on the name of your TV here at the top of the page.
good luck

Try the tank position there should be a switch that is activated to shut the unit off if it not in place, or water would get on the floor.

use a freeview box, turn the dtv off in the menu

To get it too power on press the source button a lot after a (good) few trys your get it up on another source, my own tv does this and using a freeview/freesat box makes it use-able just a pain to turn on in the first place even if you turn the dtv off in the menu

If anyone knows how to get it to turn on stright to another source would be great to know how

Goodman gds80703 turns on and off intermittendly 3 light blinks

There will be a diagnostic code that will blink on the control board. Look thru the clear window at the control board after the unit does not light up. On the reverse of the front panel, you will find a wiring diagram and in that area there will be a diagnostic code table. Sounds like a bad gas valve.
