Question about LG LMV1630ST Microwave Oven

1 Answer

The numbers 1 3 5 9 0 and the kitchen timer button on my control pad do not work. Do you think it would be the circuit board for the control panel ? If so do you think it will be easy to fix once I find the part ?

It will be fairly straight forward to fit and one should be able to purchase a spare control pannel from ebay, espares or from the manufacturers agent.
Hope this helps.

Panosonic Microwave convection Model NN-8501V Touchpad appears dead

The unit has a fuse in the power board, but when the fuse is gone it does not even start up. If it starts it is not the fuse.

Look rather a problem with a faulty touchpad, or the magnetron that is not working and need to be changed.

Check also the door sensor.

The kitchen timer button does not work on my Kenmore circular wave microwave.

If it has membrane switches, you might have a bad switch. Or, you could have a bad connection between the touch panel and the circuit board. Or the circuit board itself could have a problem.

Microwave quit working, timer, number buttons timer, all functions on micro side of control panel quit working , timer numbers start etc.

Check to see if the fuse went. If negative then something is wrong with the electronic pad for the unit.

Frigidaire microwave model fmv152ksa Some of the buttons on the console do not work. The number 5 does not work (if I hit timer & any other #, the # will show up, but 5 will not show up) the clock on...

If you're saying that some digits or segments on the display do not light up, then I would first suspect grease or moisture on the control circuit board.

If it's just that some pads on the keypad will not respond, I would say your membrane keypad is failing.

I would first give it a "hard reset" by unplugging it for 2 minutes, then trying it again.

If it still fails, I would remove the control panel assembly (see the disassembly video here) and inspect the circuit board for green, gray, or white residue or grease.

The membrane keypad is not available as a separate part, but comes already installed on a new control panel frame, which is part number 5304464130 which you can order from the Pros here.

To replace that, you unplug the keypad (as per the photo below) and move your circuit board into your frame.

You have a faulty keypad. You could probably special order this part from a local appliance parts supply store for 50-60$ or purchase a new microwave.

No numbered touch pad for use setting clock

I think on this one you press the CLOCK/TIMER pad, then enter the desired time using the 10 MINUTES, 1 MINUTE, AND 15 SECONDS pads then press CLOCK/TIMER again.

If that doesn;t work, press STOP / CLEAR then try the above again.

Let us know if it does not work.

The light under the microwave will not work. We have replaced a socket and it still does not work. When we press the light timer, nothing happens.

The electronic control board has undersized circuit wires that can't handle a catastrophic lamp failure. The circuit trace will open like a fuse. If you or someone knows how to use a soldering iron, this can be repaired.
1. Remove the top grille. (Two screws on top)
2. Remove screw above button panel. Push up on panel to remove.
3. Remove circuit board from panel. Look on reverse side for open circuit trace.
4. Repair circuit trace...lights work again....

Samsung microwave oven (touch panel problem)

If you have a membrane type keypad, you might want to look for a ribbon cable that runs from it to the circuit board. If you have one, try disconnecting it from the circuit board, and plugging it back in. If possible, spray a small amount of electronic contact cleaner on the connector as you do this. With a set of touch buttons not working, it's likely you have a wire which is not making a connection somewhere.

Maytag Microwave MMV5207AAQ control problem.

Nuke, Sounds like your touch pad is going south. Why dont you kill the power, drop the control assy. and unplug the ribbon of the control panel to the board. Take an eraser and clean the ends of the ribbon where it connects to the board. Put it back in and see if that made a difference. If not I would suspect it's the touch panel. The part number I have for this is 53001508. Good luck.
