Question about Epson Stylus CX4800 All-In-One InkJet Printer

1 Answer

I have loaded all new ink cartridges. The printer says it is printing, it sounds like it is printing, but you can't see anything. The printer will not allow me to run a clean on it. When I press the button you're supposed to...it starts blinking and so does the start button...I believe the error button is blinking too. Anyway...it won't let me clean it, but there are all new cartridges in to...can't see any print on the paper though...and it sounds like everything is working perfectly. Help!!!!!

If you change the cartridges, never change the printer head. clogged the print nozzles
with dried ink, you can experience as that.

for clean that, you can use separate utility software like as "SSC Service utility".
you can download it from the net. after install that, select the correct printer model
and close it. after that you can see icon on task bar.right click on that and select
"head cleaning " and select "power full cleaning " in that. do two three time same as that
and check the printer.

if cant start the printing, you need to physically clean the head or need to re please
the head.you need to contact your service agent for that.

SOURCE: Still stuck ! color cartridge carrier won't move to allow my replacing them as you have suggested.

What kind of cartridges did you replace with?
Like with original ones or the other replacement you get in market.
Because with use to duplicates you get this problems many times.
If you are using original cartridges then try replacing all the cartridges at once.
And even if this does not work then may be you need to take the printer to the vendor to get it repaired.

Kodak esp 5210 wont print black

I figured it out. If you are low on (25%) on either colors or black, then it won't print. Even if you load a new black cartridge and it reads as 100% black, it won't print because it will only print when BOTH cartridges have been replaced and reads 100%.
Same thing happens reversed with color being replaced.
So basically, ALL printers short you 25% ink and FORCE you to buy their ink more often. Kodak is no exception.
I have 100% black and 25% color and a BW only needed text paper won't print. I been through this before. *facepalm*

I cannot get my printer to print in only black and white. I have put new ink cartridges in, both color and black. I have selected "print in gray scale only" in the print options. But anything I...

Please take out the new cartridges and re-position them correctly i.e. color cartridge on the left and black cartridge on the right seating. Check that you hear a click sound when the cartridge is placed in the seating. Print a test page. Then switch off the printer for some time. Re start the printer and now carry out the gray scale printing.

How to change printing cartridges

Here's how to change your cartridges: 1 Make sure the printer is on. 2 Lift the scanner unit. The print cartridge carrier moves and stops at the loading position, unless the printer is busy. printmastert_25.jpg

3 Press down on the cartridge carrier latch to raise the cartridge carrier lid. printmastert_26.jpg

4 Remove the used print cartridge. Note: If you are removing both cartridges, repeat step 3 and step 4 for the second cartridge.

Sometimes the ink cartridge carrier won't automatically move to its loading position even when the printer is on and the cover is open. Follow the steps below:

1. Unplug the printer from the power source.

2. With the cover open, hold the solid white strip that connects from the carrier assembly to the ink cartridge carrier and gently slide the cartridge carrier to the center of the printer.

3. Remove the used cartridges.

4. Load the new cartridges. Close the cover.

5. Plug the printer back to the power source.

Not printing

If you are certain you installed the ink cartridge correctly then it sounds like the cartridge sensor has failed. This is fairly common with inkjet printers, give HP a call, it may still be under warranty:

No ink on page

Clean the contact in the housing area and on the ink cartriage. If that does not work buy a new cartriage. The ink probably dried up in the nozzles. You can place the ink cartriage on a wet paper towel water or alcohal and press the cartriage into the towel. If you see no ing replace.
