THE LCD DISPLAY OF MY CAMERA IS NOT WORKING. AS WELL AS THE FLASH

There are two problems here. The Rebel XT flash has an issue of not popping up when the button is pressed. See this page for some discussion and suggestions:
http://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=203699

Is the camera otherwise powering up and taking pictures and downloading them? Make sure it is not a battery problem

The display not showing up? If this only occurs in the shooting mode, press the DISP button . Another reason the display shuts down is when you look through the viewfinder- a sensor knows your cheek is next to the screen and shuts off the display. If anything blocks the sensor (located under the viewfinder, the display shuts off.

If the problem also occurs when you are trying to view the pictures (when you press the button with the little triangle) it is more serious and shows there is something wrong with the hardware of the LCD display. In that case consult Canon support.

I need to disable my ovens auto shut off

The control is automatically set to turn off the oven after 12 hours baking or 3 hours broiling should you forget and leave the oven on. If you want to remvoe this feature do the following steps: 1. Press and hold, at the same time, the BAKE and BROIL buttons for 3 seconds, until the display shows "SF". 2. Press the DELAY START TIME button. The display shows "12Shdn" for 12 hour shut off. Press the DELAY START TIME button again. The display will show "no Shdn" for no shut off. 3. Press the START button.
