How do i take the cabinet door off on model 2677/1

I have an alternative to removing the cabinet door...
Go to www.applianceart.com
and simply cover it.
They make covers in a variety of colors and styles and also have stainless options.

I hope this helps save some time.grantestzeus_6.jpg

DW doesn't pump out. Pump doesn't come on. There

If the water doesn't drain from your dishwasher, check these:
  1. Drain line/air gap--A clog in this part is the usual reason that a dishwasher doesn't drain. Remove the drain line to clear any debris from the hose or hose connection at the household drain line connection. Reattach the hose before starting the dishwasher again.
  2. Pump--You can reach the pump from inside the dishwasher. Remove the lower rack, spray arm and support. Look for an impeller, a device that spins around and forces water through the spray arm. This is the wash impeller and beneath it is the drain impeller that pushes the water into the drain port. Replace it if found defective or worn out.
  3. Drain valve/solenoid---The drain valve may have a solenoid with lever that sticks or frozen and prevents the dishwasher from draining. Free up the solenoid and lubricate the lever.
  4. Belt---A certain brand of dishwasher uses a belt to drive the pump. Replace it if broken or worn out.
  5. Motor---Check it if turning or working.Turn the rotor manually to see if stuck and free it up. Replace if defective, it is not serviceable.

There is about an inch of water in the bottem of the unit

Often times the dishwasher drain hose is not installed properly. It must be routed up as high as the dishwasher as soon as it comes out of the unit. May be also that there was a little regular soap or something that made it sudds up. vegetable oil poured into the dw tub will remove the sudds. After running vegetable oil for about 5 minutes, pour 2 cups of vinegar in to the tub and run it on the hottest longest cycle with no dishes in it. This will clean the residue out and what ever "gunk" may be in the internal parts. Use Only powder detergent. No gel and No tabs. These 2 cause a build-up over a period of time of use and reduce the performance of your machine.

Dishes not getting clean, left with gritty residue. Could the filter be backed; if so how do I fix it?

Had the same problem with a GE Nautilus 3400 series.
Solution:

- In their manual, GE recommends not stacking tall dishes on the bottom right tray - this prevents the dishwashing powder from fully dissolving. Are you using the right detergent and rinse-agent ?

If your upper arm is not turning during wash (DW leaves residue on top-shelf items), do the following:

1) Empty the DW.

2) Pull down the rotating arm on the DW ceiling. Thoroughly clean the passageways (I had to tap it on the counter to break-down the sediments).

3) Inspect the mesh-screen filter located on the floor in the back - if it's backed up (ours was backed-up from the inside), you'll need to clean it by removing 4, 1/4" screws holding it to the DW floor and throughly cleaning it (I also unscrewed the plastic valve located on the bottom of the filter compartment). While you're at it, remove the plastic mesh on the DW floor (2 screws) and fish for any objects and sediments blocking the pump.

4) Replace filter and bottom mesh and operate the DW in "Rinse" mode.

5) Press the rotating arm back in and operate the DW in "Rinse" mode. Check rotation.

- Good Luck !
