Any bike shop should have a replacement front wheel for you. Take the old one in and they will let you know what they have as a replacement. Price varies based on where you live and the specific component that is being offered, also whether you will be needing a new tire as well.

The only way a wheel can warp from sitting in the sun is if the tire blew with significant pressure enough to warp the rim. The rim will not warp on it's own just from the sun.

I can not offer you exact price of what another shop will charge. But the range should be between $40-$80 dollars not including the tire.

Lancer vibrates at 90 to 100 ks at front at front left

bent rim, tires out of balance, worn cv axle, bad wheel bearing, warped brake rotor, bad tire. Change that wheel to the rear, and see if the vibration moves with the wheel. Depending on the vibration, could be a motor/transmisson mount.

2006 Custom Sportster 1200, 19inch Harley Mag on the front. the Front End Wobbles at 90mph or above. Do I need a racing front end? This Harley is not slow... I am considering putting a CAM in it. It needs...

First, remove the front wheel and take it to a shop and have it computer balanced. On a mag wheel, the lead weights simply stick on and are notorious for coming off after a while. Make sure the wheel is balanced correctly and the "run out" of the wheel and tire is acceptable.

When you put the wheel back on the bike, check the wheel bearing end play. The book says that it should be between 0.004 - 0.018". I'd try to keep it below 0.010" in your case. Check the adjustment and "fall away" of the front end, tension on the steering head bearings. Since I don't have a manual for your year model Sportster, I must refer you to a dealer or authorized shop for this information.

Also. check the alignment of the rear wheel in the swing arm. The book shows the use of a straight edge place along side one edge of the front wheel to check the alignment of the rear wheel with the front wheel. Use a piece of straight angle aluminum.

Also, check your rear shock settings. A stiffer setting my help. If all else fails, there are places you can take your bike and they will check it on a frame jig to optimize the entire bike for proper alignment.

Good Luck

How to remove the front wheel on the 90 model zxr 750.

To do this safely and securely you will need to obtain a front paddock stand which supports your front wheel, you will then need a "24mm hex drive socket" to loosen the wheel, pull the spindle out and wheel shoul slide out easily.

On starting a mesage comes on the lcd screen saying 17 wheels. What does this mean?

The instrument cluster on that bike was used on the G650 X Challenge and G650 X moto as well as the X Country.

You can change the calibration to accomodate the 21" front wheel used on the G650 X Challenge. This determines circumference of the wheel for calibration of the odometer and speedometer.

Dealer should have set it prior to delivery of the bike.

My bike shimmeys when I apply the front brake

I could be warped rotor or something on the rotor. Clean the rotor with "Brake Kleen" or any other aerosol type brake cleaning solution. Don't get it on your paint. I've run into this on a few occasions, people get wax on their brakes while cleaning their bikes. This will make them feel like the front end is shimmying or make them squeal. Clean the rotor and if that doesn't work, check the rotor for warpage.

To test the rotor for warpage, you really need a dial indicator. But, if you have something that you can adjust to within a few thousandths of the rotor and then turn the wheel, you may be able to see if the rotor is warped. If the rotor is warped over about 0.010", I'd probably replace it.

While you have the front wheel off the ground, it would be advisable to check out the wheel bearing, the endplay, and the axle torque. I'd check everything on the front end. If your rotor is warped, replace it. Do not try to have it "turned" as motorcycle rotors are not designed to be re-machined.

The bike does tankslappers at 90 mph

Take a long straight edge across the back wheel and the front wheel to make sure the back axle is square to the bike, and the two wheels are in the same line.

05 R1 front wheel

A new wheel is going to cost $$$$. You should be able to get a good used wheel for $$ by getting on the web and Google
' motorcycle salvage yamaha '. Take three digital photos of your wheel, a side view both sides and a close up of the brake mount area. When you locate a dealer saying they have the wheel, email the photos and your contact info. If their wheel matches up, go for it.

Horn will not stop blowing

The steering wheel horn pad is warped, it is a common problem, when the soft plastic of the area were you push to honk the horn warps it causes the horn contact to stick on, most common with cars setting in the sun all day with the windows rolled up tight.
