Lexmark Interpret S405 - each time I turn off demo mode the setting does not save. How can I turn off demo mode please?

It sounds like the printer is having problem recognizing the printhead. If you're getting "Printhead Error", make sure you have the latest firmware update. The link below take you to the Lexmark Interpret S405 page to download drivers and software. You may have to change your operating system (OS), the default is Windows XP 32-bit. You want to click the "More>>" button to find the link called "Complete drivers and software for setting up,....". You probably dont need to update the firmware unless there is a problem after installing.

I've lost the cd that came with my s405 printer


Please visit the Lexmark website to download and install the Lexmark Interpret S405 Printer Driver on your computer. Select your operating system > click on "FILTER" > click on the driver under Recommended Downloads > download and execute the file. Simply follow the instructions on your computer screen to complete the installation.

Mt printer reads I have trouble with my printhead


There is a firmware update for the Lexmark Interpret S405 printer that addresses printhead issues. Please visit the Lexmark website to download and install the Lexmark S400 Series Firmware Update. If more than one download is listed for your model, choose the first download in the list. If it is the wrong firmware level, an error message will tell you which firmware level is correct. Please indicate if the update failed or successful.

Lexmark Interpret S405 is saying : "Unable to authenticate Black,Cyan,Yellow,Magenta" Please help. I have already tried turning off printer and cleaning print head.

LEXMARK 405 COMPUTER SAYS PRINT HEAD PROBLEM AFTER HALF THE JOB WAS COMPLETED . PRINTER ONLY 2 WEEKS OLD


Sound like printhead problem... ask from lexmark for replace (call them +1 800-539-6275). If they refuse to give you, than search on amazon for it... here Amazon com LEXMARK 405 printhead. I hope this was helpful. Cheers

Can lexmark s405 cartridges be re-set and refilled


You can use the Lexmark 100A's or the 100XLA's for refilling purposes (available in Lexmark.com). However, once refilled, it can no longer report its ink level. Also, print quality may not be the same as genuine Lexmark cartridges. Visit the Lexmark website for other ways to save money on ink. Thanks.
