It sounds like the printer is having problem recognizing the printhead. If you're getting "Printhead Error", make sure you have the latest firmware update. You can download and install it from Lexmark at http://bit.ly/adzmDq. If you continue to have trouble, contact Lexmark technical support. Thanks.

The link below take you to the Lexmark Interpret S405 page to download drivers and software. You may have to change your operating system (OS), the default is Windows XP 32-bit. You want to click the "More>>" button to find the link called "Complete drivers and software for setting up,....". You probably dont need to update the firmware unless there is a problem after installing.
