I formated my computer and i
cant read any more my game called Counter strike source on steam
what do i need to do
i already tryed some stuff but didnt work
i reinstalled the game 2 times
the game worked before i formated my computer
im not sure of the subcategorie
the error (its not alwais saying what is the error)
when i click on the game a loading file is openned and after ther is a black screen coming out for a second and returns to desktop
it does the same thing whit battlefield
but im not sure if its the graphic card the problem becaus movies work and older games work too

well i have a half life launcher but i think it wont work whit source cuz it comes whit a older game
do i need to install a cd called ATI_100705R

i dont think the problem is the half life launcher cuz i tryed battlefield 1942 (not a steam game) and didn't work

hi sorry it took so long to reply agen. ok you might not have a new enough direct x installed on your pc if its lower than 9.0c it wnt work and also with the counter strike source i have i have to open it up with the half life launcher if you have that then try it with that and but it might be some thing on your pc at fault so take the installed files straight from your friends pc and copy them into your pc and make a shot cut of the sc source exe. file on your desktop. it should work then

If you are using steam and you need to open it to play it, just open steam and go to libraryand click Counter Strike and hit Play. If you want to navigate to the page it's in either program files/steam/steamapps/(steamusername) or files/steam/steamapps/common If you installed it from disk it would be under program files/sierra If you illegally pirated it it's probably waiting in your downloads folder to be installed

Youll need to have the game Half-Life and you can download it by getting steam and purchasing it. (I'm sure it cant be more than 10$). Once that is done, go and search for counterstrike and you'll be able to purchase counterstrike and counterstrike : condition zero for 9.99USD.

some time it says : the game is currently not avalable try another time
but i tryed to install it in my friends house and it worked
is ther a installation of something required
