According to this site: http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/Document.jsp?objectID=bus05611&lang=en&cc=us&contentType=SupportFAQ&prodSeriesId=73500&prodTypeId=15179 , it supports power from 9V to maximum 12V. 19V seems to be too much.

Power supply is a brick with 4 pins. Total rating 19v, 9.5A. The 4 pins are two +19V and two negatives. Question. Why not use two 19v 4.74 adapters?

Feeding an electronic system computer or other devices from multiple external power supplies is not a good idea if you do not have any electronics knowledge. You would need to make sure that one does not affect the other. This is not a simple task to explain through fixya. There are a lot of things to take into account. When you mix two adapters that have their own voltage regulation control mechanisms, you never know when you hook the two of them together, what may happen. Even internal power supplies with multiple voltages do not join their outputs together. I understand why you may be thinking of doing this. Adapters with lower current capabilities are less expensive than an adapter that is twice the amperage. But trust me, you do not want to risk damaging your expensive electronic gear to save a little on the correct adapter.

Would a 19v 3.16a power supply suits a lcd monitor 19v 2.6?

Yep, that should do very well. The voltage (19V) is critical - that should match exactly. The current (3.16A, 2.6A) isn't so critical, but the power supply MUST supply AT LEAST as much current as the monitor requires. The extra current capacity won't hurt anything at all, it just won't get used for anything.

Hi, I have a Polyview V293 LCD Monitor with a power supply output of 19v 3.42A. The power supply has failed. Most i have found being offered as direct replacement for this monitor have an output of 19v...

If the power adapter is a separate from the monitor then check the monitor's label on the back of the screen for the power rating. If the rating on the label is greater than 3.16A then I would not purchase this adapter.
I suggest you purchase an adapter with a current rating greater than what is stated on the monitor's label.
Check out this WEB site for power adapters - a 19Volt 90 watt = 4.7A power supply is suitable.

What type of cable power supply do I need for a V7 L17PS monitor? I got this monitor for free but no cables came with it. Thanks

Looks like it takes a 19V 3.42A Power supply.
Look on the back of the monitor near the power jack and find where it says "input"
If it says 19V 3.42A then this is what you want:

I have a Toshiba Satellite laptop. The original adapter is 100V, 1.l3A input and 19V, 3.95A (DC). Can I use an adapter with 100-240, 1.1A input and 19V 3.42A output?

The input voltage doesn't matter - the 100-240 just means the adaptor will work in most countries.

The output voltage is the same, and the current is only slightly lower - so as long as the plug to the laptop is the same AND has the same polarity [+ and - in the same places on the plug] then yes, you will be able to use it.

My Gateway laptop use AC cord with the output 19v = 3.42A. can I use the AC cord with the output 19v = 3.95A?

Yes you can use one that has an higher current rating. The system will only use what it needs. If you try to use one with an lower current rating the power supply would fail. Just check to make sure the pin out is the same..ie postive tip or negtive tip.

Laptop not working

The Brick is the external power adapter, My acer uses model # ADP-60XB 19V X 3.16A= 60 Watts
Yours I believe is also a 19V but I believe the amps are 3.45 making yours a 65Watt power supply ac/dc adapter.

Test the voltage, if your unsure how, take it to Radio Shack and have them do it.
