You didn't specify the make and model of your camera, but from what you do say I suspect it uses SD cards. Your 4GB card is actually an SDHC card. While it fits into the slot, it's electronically incompatible. Try using an SD card 2GB or smaller.

How to reprogram my sony ericsson k800i

Instructions

Obtain the unlock code for your K800i if the phone is locked. You can get the code from an unlocking service, or from the carrier that originally sold the phone.

Turn off the K800i and turn the phone over.

Remove the battery cover by sliding it toward the bottom of the phone. Lift the battery from the bottom and set the battery cover and battery aside.

Remove the old SIM card by sliding it out from under the metal clip. If you have an unlocked K800i, all you need to do is insert the SIM card from your new carrier. Otherwise, leave the SIM out and reinstall the battery and battery cover.

Turn the phone on and wait for it to boot up.

Press left on the navigation pad and press "*" twice, then press the left arrow again. The phone will display "Personalize with MNC2."

Type the unlock code and wait for the phone to reboot.

Turn the phone off and insert the new SIM card.

Turn camera on, lens comes out, goes back in ,and says lens error.

try these fixes

1.Remove the batteries from the camera, wait a few minutes. Put a fresh set of batteries back in (preferably rechargeable nimh 2500mah or better) and turn the camera on. If using rechargeables, and they're more than a year old, consider purchasing new rechargeable batteries as they may not be providing sufficient power to startup the camera. If new batteries didn't work, try pressing and holding the 'Function' or OK button while turning the camera on.

2.If the camera's batteries ran down completely while the its lens was still open, the camera may show a lens error or not start properly when new batteries are installed. Remove the memory card and keep it removed, then install the new batteries. When you turn the camera on with the card removed it may come back to life, as this triggers a reset in some cameras. Error E30 means that you don't have a memory card installed, so turn it off, slip in the SD card and turn it on one last time

3.Place the camera flat on its back on a table, pointed at the ceiling. Press and hold the shutter button down, and at the same time press the power-on button. The idea is that the camera will try to autofocus while the lens is extending, hopefully seating the lens barrel guide pins back into their slots.

4.Insert the cameras audio/video (AV) cable, and turn the camera on. Inserting this cable ensures that the camera's LCD screen remains off during the start process. Thus extra battery power is available to the camera's lens motor during startup. This extra power can be useful in overcoming grit or sand particals that may be jamming the lens. If the AV cable doesn't fix the lens error by itself, consider keeping this cable installed while trying fix 3 as a means to provide extra power to help to this fix. Reinsert the cable only after tapping the camera.

48GX has been idle for 4 years.Wont turn on. Is there an internal battery that I can replace?

The 48GX runs on three AAA type alkaline batteries. However, if the device was unused that long, the button cells used for backing up the RAM cards may also be depleted, and the calculator will report "low battery" displaying the ((.)) symbol, even with fresh AAA cells installed.

The RAM card mounted batteries are type CR2016.

Main batteries:
  • Remove the calculator battery compartment door by pressing down and sliding it off away from the calculator.
  • Turn the calculator and shake the batteries out.
  • Replace with a fresh set of AAA alkaline batteries. Polarity is marked on the bottom of the battery compartment.
  • Replace the battery compartment door by sliding it back in place.
RAM card batteries:
  • Turn the calculator over and remove the plastic cover over the plug-in card ports (display-end of the calculator).
  • HP recommends to turn on the calculator while replacing the RAM card battery to avoid memory loss. I assume, your HP48GX has no marbles to recover by now anyway, so it does not matter, I guess.
  • Near the left side of the end of the card. you'll find the nail grip in the black plastic battery holder. Use a thumbnail to gently pull out the battery holder. There is one battery in each card (additional cards are options).
  • Remove the old battery from the holder and replace by a new CR2016 button cell. The "+" side of the battery should point into direction of the calculator's front.
  • Re-insert the holder with the new battery and check the RAM card is properly seated still.
  • Close the compartment by sliding back in the cover.

How open in laser toner catridge make-xerox model-phaser 3100

Replace the toner: Always use the smart card provided with the new Print Cartridge when replacing the cartridge. The smart card contains the information necessary to reset the level of Toner. Replacing the cartridge without using the smart card may result in the consumable management system being inaccurate.
  1. Insert the smart card provided with the new Print Cartridge into the smart card reader. A "Change Toner?" message will be displayed.

  2. Press the [OK] button. An "Open Front Cover Replace Toner" message will be displayed.
  3. Push on the left and right side of the Front Cover and simultaneously lower the cover.

  7. Press the [OK] button. A "Please Wait" message will be displayed while the machine reads the smart card, and then a "New Toner Remove Card" message will be displayed.
  8. Remove the smart card from the reader and dispose of the card as normal office waste.

NOTE: If the smart card has been used with a previous installation of a Print Cartridge, a "Remove Card Already Used" message will be displayed. The smart card can only be used once. Make sure to use the card that came with the new cartridge.

mcdevito75 here, Double check your battery insertion 1 of them or both incorrectly installed. If you"ve used to much pressure in installing the batteries you could have damaged the LCD display happens with Casio LCD"s. If the LCD display has turned color it may be shot. It may also be you need the press any function button to activate the LCD as when you installed new batteries it simply shut down.

Lens error is displayed on nikon coolpix L 4. what do I do?

Here are a few possible fixes :
Fix #1: Remove the batteries from the camera, wait a few minutes. Put a fresh set of batteries back in (preferably rechargeable NiMH 2500mah or better) and turn the camera on. If that didn't work, try pressing and holding the Function or OK button while turning the camera on.
Fix #2: If the camera's batteries ran down completely while the its lens was still open, the camera may show a lens error or not start properly when new batteries are installed. Remove the memory card and keep it removed, then install the new batteries. When you turn the camera on with the card removed it may come back to life, as this triggers a reset in some cameras. Error E30 (for older Canon's) means that you don't have a memory card installed, so turn it off, slip in the SD card and turn it on one last time

Fix #3: Insert the cameras Audio/Video (AV) cable, and turn the camera on. Inserting this cable ensures that the camera's LCD screen remains off during the start process. Thus extra battery power is available to the camera's lens motor during startup. This extra power can be useful in overcoming grit or sand particals that may be jamming the lens. If the AV cable doesn't fix the lens error by itself, consider keeping this cable installed while trying fixes 4, 5, and 7 as a means to provide extra power to help to these fixes. But note that I DON'T recommend keeping the cable installed during Fix 6 as you may damage the AV port while tapping the camera. Reinsert the cable only AFTER tapping the camera.

Fix #4: Place the camera flat on its back on a table, pointed at the ceiling. Press and hold the shutter button down, and at the same time press the power-on button. The idea is that the camera will try to autofocus while the lens is extending, hopefully seating the lens barrel guide pins back into their slots.

Fix #5: Blow compressed air in the gaps around the lens barrels with the idea of blowing out any sand or grit that may be in there jamming the lens. Other variations include blowing with a hair dryer in “no heat” setting, or sucking the gaps with a vacuum (careful with this one). Some people also have actually used a "Shop Vac" with this fix to help extend a retracted lens.

I want to upgrade the ram in my IBM thinkpad R52 laptop. Do I have to buy DDR1 or DDR2?

You have to buy DDR2. The compatible memory is DDR2-533 PC2-4200, 200p SODIMM, 1.8v

To install the memory, follow these steps:
  1. Turn off the system; then disconnect the ac adapter and all cables from the system.
  2. Close the system display, and turn it over.
  3. Remove the battery.
  4. Loosen the screw on the memory slot cover; then remove the cover.

If the SO-DIMM is already in the memory slot, remove it to make roomfor the new one by pressing out on the latches on both edges of thesocket at the same time. Be sure to save it for future use.

    58899bc.jpg

  5. Find the notch on the side of the SO-DIMM.
Note: To avoid damaging the SO-DIMM, do not touch its contact edge.
  6. Withthe notched end of the SO-DIMM toward the right side of the socket, insert the SO-DIMM into the socket at an angle of about 20 degrees (1);then press it firmly (2).

    56bb48e.jpg

  7. Pivot the SO-DIMM downward until it snaps into place.
  8. Make sure that the card is firmly fixed in the slot and does not move easily.
  9. Replace the memory slot cover by aligning the back side of the cover first and then tightening the screw.
Note:When you have added or upgraded a memory card, do not use your systemuntil you have closed the cover. Never use the system with the coveropen.
  10. Put the battery back in place, turn the system over again, and reconnect the cables.

To make sure that the SO-DIMM is installed correctly, do as follows:
  1. Turn the system on.
  2. Whilethe "To interrupt normal startup, press the blue Access IBM button"message is displayed at the lower-left of the screen, press Access IBMbutton.
  3. Select Start setup utility.
  4. The BIOS Setup Utility screen appears. The "Installed memory" item shows the total amount of memory installed in your system.

For example, if your system has 256 MB of memory and you install a256-MB SO-DIMM in it, the quantity shown in "Installed memory" shouldbe 512 MB.

The compatible memory can be purchased here online.
