Question about Mitsubishi VS-45605 50" Rear Projection Television

1 Answer

VS - 45065 Rear projection TV

Is it ok to use Nintendo Wii with this set? Actually, I am not sure about the model number. Our manual shows several model numbers VS-50605 VS 50705 VS55705 VS 60705 VS 70705.

Wii instructions say to check the manual but there are no references in the manual.

I'd also like to know to know what model I have. The set is inside a cabinet and way to heavy to move to look on the back.

Hi .

All the models listed on the manual are all the same chassis as yours. when there are more then one model listed it means that there are a few different variations of this unit, normally it refers to the screen size. if your set for example is a 51 inch unit then look for the model closest on the manual.
yes the wii and other gaming units are fine to use with a rear projection television. the only thing to watch for is not to pause games and walk away as this will cause screen burn.

Delete an old internet number and put in a new number

You do it the same way as you would when you put the code in the first time.

From the wii home menu..
Go to Wii Options in the lower left.
Click on Wii Settings to the right.
From this first list, click the right arrow.
Now on page 2, click on Internet.
Then click Connection Settings.
From this list, click Connection 1.
Then, click Wireless Connection...
and then click Search for an Access Point.
It will briefly search for any access points and when this screen comes up, click OK.
The following will be a list of nearby access points. If the one you are looking for doesn't show up, click Try again. Then, click the one you have access to...
Enter in the router password
click OK...
and OK again.
It will test the connection...
And if successful, the following will drop down. Click Yes to update Wii.
Sometimes the above screen is false, saying there is an update when there isn't and the following will appear...
Now, back in Wii System Settings, click on WiiConnect24.
From the following list click WiiConnect24.
Click On and then Confirm to save your settings. This feature allows for updates to be seemlessly sent to your Wii so you don't have to do the final step every time.

Ok, the final step, just as a way to make sure your Wii is up to date. Click the right arrow from the 2nd page of Wii System Settings.
Click Wii System Update...
click yes...
it will test your connection for a few seconds...
an update screen may quickly come up and tell you there is an update (whether or not your Wii actually needs one)
and the following screen will appear. Click Wii Menu to finish.

You can try to reduce the MTU settings on the router. if the MTU on the router is set to 1500 then change the MTU to 1365. Also you will need to open the ports on the router.

For WII port numbers are - 28910, 29900, 29901, 29920, 80, 443.

Recently purchased a wii and had no av cable input on my tv, so I purchased a component cable, hooked it up, and only got black and white. After spending two hours messing with both the wii settings and...

You can't use component input on the tv. You have to have component output on the wii and it doesn't have it. Are you sure you don't have A/V inputs on your set? I don't know of any set that doesn't in the LCD field, even the cheap imports have them. I tried to cross your model number and it went nowhere. Could you re-check your model number and send it to me. Some models of Insignia had a hidden compartment on the sides by the antenna jack that pops out.

I need a parental control reset code

Hi there

Click the "Wii" button located on the bottom left corner of the screen on the Wii Main menu.

Click the "Wii Settings" button on the System Settings screen. Look for the button with the wrench icon.

Move to the second page of the Wii System Settings screen by clicking the blue arrow.

Click the "Parental Controls" button on the second System Settings screen.

Click "I Forgot" when asked asked to enter your four-digit PIN.

Answer the secret question displayed on the screen. You provided the question when you set up your Wii. Note that the answer to the question is case sensitive.

If you answer correctly, you'll have access to the Parental Control Settings. Reset your PIN on this screen by entering a new PIN number and a new answer to the secret question, then clicking OK.

Click "I Forget" if you can't remember the answer to the question. Nintendo displays a message screen with text telling you to contact Nintendo customer support. At the bottom of the screen is a confirmation number.

Write down the confirmation number so you don't forget it, and leave your Wii turned on with the confirmation number screen displayed.

Call Wii customer support at 800-255-3700. Tell Nintendo customer support your confirmation number. You'll receive a master key code to reset your parental control PIN. Write down the master key code.

Return to your Wii, and click the "Enter Master Key" button. On the Master Key screen, enter the five-digit master key you received from Nintendo customer support, then click "Confirm Master Key." The Wii displays a message stating that "Parental Controls are Now Disabled." Click "OK" for the Wii to return you to page two of the Wii Systems Setting screen.

Click the "Parental Controls" button on the Wii System Settings screen. The Parental Controls screen will now show that you have no parental control settings enabled. Enter a new four-digit PIN number and secret question to reset your PIN, then click "OK."

Getting error code 209600 while trying to download of wii shop channel

Error Code: 209600 Errors within this range usually indicate that the console timed out when attempting to communicate with Nintendo's servers.
The Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection servers could be experiencing a high amount of traffic. Please try your connection again later.
If you have waited several hours and are still unable to connect, there could be an issue with your connection. Please review the folliwing information:
How are you attempting to connect your Wii console online?
    Wireless Router:

  1. Make sure you are using a "broadband" internet connection, such as high speed cable or DSL. Slower connection types, such as dial-up, may not work properly with the Wii console. If you are unsure what type of connection you have, please contact your Internet Service Provider (ISP) for more information.

  2. Try adjusting the "Channel" your wireless router broadcasts on. We highly recommend setting your wireless router to either channel 1 or 11. Be sure to try both channels if the first one you try does not work. This can potentially increase the download speed. For information on accessing your router's settings, click here to select the brand name and model number of your router (if available). (The "Channel" setting is typically found in the "Wireless" section of your router's setup utility.)
  3. Make sure that any other interfering devices, such as microwaves and cordless phones, are turned off. Wireless keyboards and mice may also cause interference.

  4. If this error occurs regularly, it is may be a connection problem related to the firewall settings of your wireless router. It may be necessary to disable wireless security on the router. For information on accessing your router's settings, click here to select the brand name and model number of your router (if available). For detailed information on where to locate your router's firewall settings, please consult the owner's manual for your router, or contact the router 's manufacturer. (More about firewalls)

  5. Are you using a Netgear brand wireless router? Our expeirence shows disabling the "SPI Firewall" of the router may help the connection. The "SPI Firewall" option is typically found under the "WAN Setup" tab of the router's settings. For information on accessing your router's settings, please click here and select the model of the Netgear router you own (if available).

How do you get the internet

select internet from the Wii settings screen, then go to the internet setup screen.
first, you should make sure you have a high-speed (broadband) Internet connection like cable or dsl. then, you should see if your network is wired or wireless.

if:
-your network is wired, then you have a LAN, and you can connect your Wii with the network with a Wii LAN Adapter which can be sold at www.nintendo.com

-your network is wireless, then you can use the Internet Setup in the settings to search for your access point. all you have to do is select the connection settings option, select an open connection indicated by "None", select wireless connection, select search for an access point, see if you can select your access point from a list (if it shows up), select OK, and select OK to test the connection

-your network is not wireless, then do you have a PC running Windows XP directly connected to your high-speed Internet connection? if so, then you can connect your Wii if you get the Nintendo Wi-Fi USB Connector and use Internet Setup to connect with it.

we actually have the wireless router to connect to ours and it works perfectly. you can also check the Wii Operations Manual (gray book) for even more details. its on pages 51-59. you should start on page 51 though.
i hope this helped a lot!

On multiplayer it sais every one is on the same team.

Can't remember off the top of my head but I think there is an option to choose how many players (including cpu) will be playing. You might have it set to 2. Go through the steps to setup your game and see if there might be an option to increase the number of players. You might think the number of players are referring to human players but it could be for ALL players. the game won't allow you to play 4 players with only 2 controllers anyway so try that out.
