The diagnostic port on the '88 Reatta is located under the driver side of the dash to the right of the steering column. Very cool car by the way.

Enter Diagnostic mode by selecting climate on multifunction display(MFD).
Put one finger on (off) and one finger on (warm) and hold them there til it beeps. Service engine light will continuously flash on cluster and service mode on display starts. select no. ECM? will display. Hit yes. ECM Data? Hit yes. All sensors output can be cycled through by touching (no). O2 output should fluctuate almost all the time. TPS will show up, spark advance, ESC sensors. Fuel injector spray pattern. I guess my point is: a Reatta came with its own scanner.

Dead channel on 1988 reatta radio

Either the speaker is messed up or wiring to the speaker is broken somewhere or the radio itself is broken in that channel only and needs replaced.

Removing timing gear on 1988 buick reatta

Without writing a book, jack up the car and remove the passanger side tire...best access via the wheel opening...you must remove the harmonic balancer, water pump and timing cover to replace the timing gear. Unless you have lots of miles they go a long time.
The cam magnet is behind the cam sensor, remove it and manually rotate the engine until the hole in the cam is visible. You might find the old magnet. Clean out the hole, glue in the plastic holder and magnet.

I was wondering if the body control module out of a 1988 park ave would fit in a 1988 reatta

If they have the same part numbers on them. What is wrong with the one you have?

The touch screen on my 1988 Buick Reatta is not lighting up. About a week ago the headlights stopped popping up (so I've been cranking them manually) and the screen was giving messages that I knew were...

The headlight issue and touchscreen problems might
just be a coincidence, that they occurred at close to
or near the same time. Make sure the wiring connections at both headlight pop up motors are
tight. The relay for the headlight motors might be
bad, also,if the fuse is good. If you have the owners
manual,it should let you locate the proper relay's location. The touchscreen, if it's easy to remove it,
I'd pop it out and make sure the wiring connections are tight and have a mechanic with handheld scanner, see if there are any trouble codes available.
Good luck.

The computer on my 1988 Reatta states that I have low refrigerant. How would I know if the a/c system has been converted for 134a refrigerant? Can I add the refrigerant myself? Thanks

If it has been changed there SHOULD be a sticker placed under the hood somewhere saying that it has. If it has you can add it yourself easily, if not you can have it converted. You can get a kit at your local auto parts store
