I have a Mitsubishi WS 65907 projection tv. I was getting the 3-D effect when the tv was first turned on. After a while it was discovered that a little kick to the center of the set aligned the colors. The other day the set quit working. After looking at your site I tried the diagnostic tool and received 2-2 blinking lights. Please send instructions on how to replace the pico fuses and convergence chips. Do you have to pull the chassis with all three boards or can you get the center board out alone? Thanks, Ed T.

I received. I sent a few questions yesterday. I'll ask again. Do I have to pull the chassis out with the three boards on it or can I get the one board out. Thanks Ed T.

You have to desolder the IC's and the pico fuse, by using a desoldering tool that sucks the hot melted solder up, or use solder wick, this is a picture of the IC's.SD Tech

read the instructions! the idea is to remove the board, not the chassis.

Dear SD Tech, My WS-55859 suddenly stopped turning on, either from the remote or the front panel switch. It would click the relay and turn on the front panel light for a couple of seconds and then turn...

I have the address. 2,2 is short protection. 98% chance one of the two pico fuses pictured is blown.

Model indicated uses a single convergence chip; it and the fuses are on the middle board.

See attached photos of fuses (circled ones are suspects) and another of the chip.

A very helpful rating will result in instructions sent.

Attn sd tech i have a code 2 2 how do i repair?

It means one of the two pico fuses for CONVERGENCE is blown.

I will attach photo of the fuses; they and the two convergence chips this set uses are on the middle circuit board--also a photo of a typical IC.

Parts cost on EBAY will be under 20 dollars.

Instructions tell you everything you will need and exactly how to do the repair.

Give me a email and I will send them free.

If this was helpful rate this solution as very helpful as I do this here for free.

Hello, one of the two pico fuses that protect the convergence chips this model uses is gone--see attached photo--

NEVER change just the fuses---if one of the two fuses is blown--the convergence chips got them-----

there are several ways to proceed from here-check the two fuses indicated in the photo.

We have a WS 65511 with an error code 2,2. What does it mean and how can we fix it?

I am a expert on these sets and have fixed hundreds of them.

2,2 is short protection and 97% chance one or both of the pico fuses that protect the convergence circuit are blown (bad).

Model indicated uses a single STK-393-110 convergence IC. The fuses and chip are on the middle circuit board which needs to be removed to repair the set. Total parts cost will be under 25 dollars---I use a seller on EBAY who has the chip and the fuses.

I have start to finish step by step instructions for this repair in this model as I have done it hundreds of times.

Soldering and some skill are involved in getting the board out and replacing the parts.

let me know if I can assist you or if you have questions let me know here.

I just replaced the 2 Convergence IC's now i have a bad pitcure

Yes, did you check the group of identical 3.9 ohm blue resistors in front of the chips? If even one is open or discolored in the middle convergence will not adjust in some area.

Mitsu WS-65909 COMES ON AND TURN OFF IMMEDIATLY, ERROR CODE 2-2

Two blink code on this set means Usually one of the two pico fuses that protect the STK-393-110 CONVERGENCE IC is blown--the fuses will need to be tested and the chip and them replaced--

If you have enough skill I have step by step start to finish instructions for this repair in this set---set detects one of the voltages to the Chip is not there and shuts down instantly. I have photos of the chip, fuses and protect resistors this set uses also.

If you want the instructions for free give me a email and I will send them to you for free--if you are able to do this repair yourself you will save a lot of money--you can buy the chip on Ebay for about 14 dollars plus shipping and the same seller sells the pico fuses..............

If you want to attempt this give me a vote here--If you are not able to do it yourself I have suggestions for you about getting the set fixed--I have done hundreds of these sets!

Just reply to this post here.

Let me know what you want to do, I am here to help people
