Hello,
You should go to nearest electronics technician and easily they can change V/C or manege with equivalent another v/c .There will not be no effect, if that guys work with care.

Or youn can purchase from ebay.com or

Volume Control Unit has gone bad

The volume control is nothing more than small complicated rheostat.
If you don't know electronics take it to a radio repair shop. Just tell the repair guy to build you a new one using the old cord. That is if the cord is not what is bad! Take the entire unit with you. For a trained repair man it should be a easy thing to rebuild. I own a P7800 and if the control unit should break that is just what I would do.

Corded volume control up and down in volume by itself

I have/had the same problem. Frustrated with the lack of even a make shift solution on the internet I took matters into my own hands. This is a partial solution (as completely fixing it would likely require taking it apart and replacing parts, soldering, etc.) and it might not work for everyone.

Here's what I did...
I cut a small piece of paper a little over 1 inch long and about 1.5 cm wide. I folded it vertically and, using tweezers, wedged it into the space between the dial knob and the surrounding grey plastic. Picture here -> http://imgur.com/8roA2.jpg

It increases the friction between the knob and the plastic and since I've done it I haven't had the random volume jumps. Hope it works! If it does, spread the word because I know a lot of people have this issue.

I-trigue 3400 speakers

My 3400 worked yesterday, but today the subwoofer stopped working. I tried a lot of different things. In the end, I simply had to jiggle the wired remote connection to the subwoofer and it started working again.

Sound only coming out through one speaker

Try looking at your volume control connector. I found that 2 of the prongs were smashed down, so I got a tweezer and straightened them back up. As soon as I plugged it back in, the blue light on the volume control appeared (before it wasn't working at all), and the right side speaker worked again, whereas before only the left side had sound coming out of it.
