The spot bot brushes do not seem to be working correctly. It is a low ply carpet.

i have it set to the proper setting. The brushes start to work then they stop. If I lift the spotbot and hit the side they start working again. It seems that the gears are binding.

Hello

program the SpotBot controls based on the type of spill or stain. Set the "surface stain cycle" for recent spills that have not soaked into the carpet, and the "set-in stain cycle" for older stains. Failure to set the correct options will lower the performance quality of the SpotBot.

When using your SpotBot for spot removal, vacuum the area first. If the SpotBot does not completely clean a stain on the first run, repeat the cycle by resetting the original controls. The dirty water tank should be rinsed out and dried after each use. The clean water tank may be used more than once between cleanings, but should be rinsed after each use

The beater brush will no longer drive under a load on short pile carpet

Have you tried changing the height adjustment? There should be a knob or lever that allows you to adjust the height of the beater brush to accommodate different carpet lengths. Even with a new belt, the brush will not spin if the height is too low. Try adjusting it all the way up, then while it is running, adjust it down until there is some resistance. The beater brush should just barely scrape the top of your carpet.

Spot Bot leaves mold rings

Hey, the mold ring is showing the carpet is now clean in comparison to the rest of the room.

You may want to have the rest of the carpet cleaned using a BISSELL deep cleaning machine or by calling a professional.

Clean bissell spot bot brush

NONE of these answers apply to the question! The asker referred to the Bissell SPOTBOT, which doesn't have a push handle. I'd like to know how to remove the brush myself. I know how to remove the components but haven't been able to figure out how to remove the mechanism.

I have the Hoover, self propelled vacuum. I have only used the self propel function a few times, but our babysitter used the feature and now the vacuum only works on the highest carpet setting. The middle...

Move the carpet height control switch to a higher position if the vacuum is difficult to push. If the setting is too low for the carpet being cleaned, the brushes press against the floor preventing the vacuum from moving easily.Set to a medium-high height setting then check.Slide the "Self-Propel" button to the "ON" position if the cleaner does not self-propel. -----------
The self-propel feature operates only when the cleaner switch and the self propel button are both ON. ---------- Try this settings and check. This should help.Thanks.Helpmech.

I replaced the belt in our Eureka Boss Smart Vac, it still seems loose, it uses a type R belt. The beater belt still doesn't seem to turn properly and seems that it doesn't pick up very well when I use it...

Check to see that the beater brush is not frozen up. Pull the brush and clean it, spraying some WD40 on each end piece that holds the brush in place. Also be sure the belt is properly installed so that the brush turns in the correct direction. If the brush is not turning or not turning in the correct direction, it will not beat the dirt from the carpet so that it can be picked up by the vacuum's suction.

Spot Bot leaking water from reservoir through brushes

make sure that your collection tank is empty and correctly attached. If it is full, it will shoot water on the spot, but not **** it up several times in the cleaning process leaving a large wet puddle bigger than the original spot.

Belt Keeps Coming Off

Replace the belt with afresh, proper sized one. Yours is stretched. It will be shiny on the underside. hoover belts are meant to fit snug. Check the bearings on the end of the brush roll to remove dirt and thread. The proper belt will need to be stretched into place using the brush for leverage. Likely that your low carpet is more dense causing enough drag to throw the stretched belt.

Bissell pro heat 2x multi surface carpet cleaner making spots

maybe there's not enough vacuum or it hasn't been primed enough. I have a proheat that drove me crazy till I started leaving the heat switch on. I get wads of carpet fiber that mat around brush and spit out on the carpet, so I frequently remove them. I'm just wondering if after you empty the water, it may not have built up the suction. Good luck! hope this may be helpful
