I have a HP media center m7360n , with a 920 intel pentium D processor. I changed the video card which required a more powerful power supply. I upgraded the ram and changed the power supply out to be...

Open your computer casing where the motherboard lies in and then remove the memory card, your new video card and then reset the BIOS, refer to the motherboard manual on how to do it. After resetting, plug in the memory card and video card. Close the casing and connect all the wiring. Power up your computer.

I turn on my puter it goes to the user login and then logs off

Hi,

I've run into this problem too often lately. So far I haven't managed to find a decent fix for it :( I've ended up having to backup the computer's data, reinstall windows, and restore all the data.

From the times I've seen it you get to the login screen, click on your user, get the "Loading personal Settings", a quick flash of the desktop, then back to the login screen saying "saving personal settings". It would do this in both safe mode and normal mode, so I was never able to try turning off startup software or services.

Booting to the windows XP disc and running a check disc might help, but from my experience with the problem you will probably need to reinstall windows. Hopefully someone else has a better idea.

Best of luck :)

I cant get my puter to start after i put 4gb ram into machine, both slots work independantly. how can i fix this

First need more info on your setup. your puter may not support 4gb. If it does do you have the right ram. Make sure ram is same type. If so take ram out & reseat it. Make sure to shut down & unplug power from back of computer. If this does not work try putting one stick in & start puter
