Question about Apple iTunes

1 Answer

I keep trying to connect to the itunes store but it says that the network connection is timed out and I need to check it to make sure it is active. I already went to the LAN settings and checked the box I needed to check, but I still can't connect to the store. What am I supposed to do?

Fix the issue on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch If you can't connect to the iTunes Store on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, make sure:
  1. That your date, time, and time zone are correct. Tap Settings > General > Date & Time. Time Zone might list another city in your time zone.
  2. That your iOS software is up to date. To check for updates, tap Settings > General > Software Update. You can also connect your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch to iTunes and click Check for Updateon your device's Summary page.
  3. To check that you're in range of a Wi-Fi router or base station. If you're using cellular service, make sure that cellular data is turned on from Settings > Cellular. If you're connected to cellular data, larger items might not download. You might need to connect to Wi-Fi to download apps, videos, and podcasts.
  4. That you have an active Internet connection. For help with your connection, check your device's user guide.
  5. To see if other devices, like portable computers, can connect to the Wi-Fi network and access the Internet.
  6. To reset your Wi-Fi router by turning it off and then on again.
If there's still an issue, learn what to do if your device won't connect to a Wi-Fi network.

When i go to update my ipod, it says, network connection timed out, please make sure network connection is correct and active. how do i do that so i can update my ipod?

Go to System Preferences from the Apple icon menu (top left) under the Internet & Wireless section there is a Network icon (glass ball looking thing) click on that. green dot next to ethernet (or wireless whatever one you use) means you are connected. yellow dot means ready but not connected. red dot means not connected.
If you have a red dot next to the connection that you use, check your router or modem. You might have to call you ISP if the problems keep happening.

Always pop up NO SIM INSTALLED or NO SIM , how can i fix it? my phone is iphone4, thz

Check sim in another iphone first see if it works, if so have you activated your phone and sim correctly? If so then try restoring you iphone as NEW iphone (following instructions below to do) ..... if that doesnt work then you may need to try getting a new sim from your network or maybe popping into an apple store to see if its the phone
  1. Make sure you have the latest version of iTunes installed and running before attempting to update.
  2. Connect your device to your computer.
  3. Select your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch when it appears in iTunes under Devices.
  4. Select the Summary tab.
  5. Select the Restore option.
  6. When prompted to back up your settings before restoring, select the Back Up option (as seen in the image below). If you have just backed up the device, it is not necessary to create another.
    ht1414_03--back_up_settings-002-en.jpg
  7. Select the Restore option when iTunes prompts you (as long as you've backed up your device, you should not have to worry about restoring your phone).
    ht1414_04--restore_dialog-002-en.jpg
  8. Once the restore process has completed, the device restarts and displays the Apple logo while starting up:
    ht1414_05--restored-002-en.jpg
iPhone only: For the iPhone only, after a restore, the iPhone displays the "Connect to iTunes" screen. Keep your device connected until the "Connect to iTunes" screen goes away or you see "iPhone is activated." If iTunes does not have an Internet connection, you cannot complete this step.
    ht1414_06--connect-002-en.png ht1414_07--activated-002-en.png
  9. The final step is to restore your device from a previous backup. Once your device is restored and-in the case of the iPhone-in the process of activating, you should be able to see the following in iTunes:
    ht1414_08--set_up-003-en.png
Select the backup you want for your device and select the Continue button to complete your device's restoration.
If you do not want to restore from backup, select "Set up as new..." If you want to preserve previous backups that iTunes has made, be sure to back up the appropriate directory before choosing to set up as new. To learn more about setting up your device as new, see How to set up your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch as a new device.

ITunes cannot connect to iTunes store, the network connection was refused. What should I do ?

I had added a proxy to my internet explorer while trying to access another intranet. I always use Firefox so I didn't think it would matter if it was set to the intranet IP as the proxy, but apparently itunes and some other programs blindly copy the proxy settings from explorer and will stop working. everything was fixed when I disable the proxy in the connection tab.

ITunes store connection probomething

Check your firewall, enable it if it's stuck off. And also check your virus and malware programs, it sounds fishy if you can connect to every other site sounds like someone set it so you can't get in, check your security settings also
