Take the battery out of the machine. Leave it connected to the AC power and try again to start it. If it happens your battery is a Li-ion and a safety feature is built into the battery pack to prevent your charger from over charging a depleted battery and causing a fire.

Now for a real test of your beliefs, take the battery and place it in your freezer for about an hour, then put it back in your computer and see if the machine will try to charge it. This works sometimes. I have bought some of them back tocharge about 70% fill, I suspect that the cold slows down the ionic exchange and doesnt appear as a depleted battery. keep a sharp eye on it that it doesn't get too hot. If you are not going to use your computer for a good while, say month or so, take the battery out and store it in the refrigerator side of your appliance, do not freeze.

Have a samsung TV UN40H5203AFXZA will not turn on. When plugged in the stand-by light blinks seven times and goes off. Changed power, main and Tcon boards. 3 lights come on the Tcon board but go off.

Please un-plug the cable between the main board & the power supply, apply the AC power to it, if the back lights come on & still on, replace the main board; if the back lights did not come on, mostly the problem is defective back light LED strips.

PLEASE HELP!! I am going on a business trip tomorrow and ALL of my requisite files are on my Dell Latitude D610 that won't power on. PROBLEM: once I removed it from my docking station at work, it won't...

When you say you "tried turning it on with the battery removed", did you leave it plugged into the wall with the charging adapter at the time? Please clarify that you tried to use it while plugged in without the battery and it would not power up? When you plugged it in without the battery, was the green charging light on? Or did you get no power light at all?

With your battery in, try using a different outlet to plug into. Plug it into another outlet and when the green charging light comes on press and hold your power button on your keyboard and do not release it for 30 to 45 seconds. Tell me if this boots up the pc even if just for a moment?

There are three lights on your keyboard that should come on when the laptop is plugged in and turned on. One is the power light, the other is the battery charging light and the last one is the hard drive indicator that looks like a round cylinder on the picture. Tell me when you plug it into the outlet and the battery charge light is on, does the hard drive light come on and/or flicker when you try to power up the laptop? How many lights come on when you press and hold down the power button with the cord plugged into the wall?

Lexmark 6675. Power won't come on. Power cord

your power supply (black box) is working fine if it has green indicator light on. Make sure you're plugging the power supply all the way in the slot. The power supply can be plugged in an incorrect position so try to double-check that you are plugging it in correctly. Hope this helps.

The power does not come on

Would request you to try some of undermentioned steps, this would help you identify what is the main issue:

  1. Try different power source or outlet. Make sure that the power socket is working properly.
  2. Unplug all cables from back of modem & plug only power cable. If power light does not come on, then you might need to get modem or power adapter changed.
  3. If power light comes on, then plug sat in & out cable, if light goes off then issue could be with these cables & you might need to call your ISP provider to send installer & look after the dish.
  4. If power light is still on, then plug lan cable & if light goes off then you need to change LAN Cable.

The Power Light is Red

yeah, should stay red when unit is turned off, indicating there's power but it's doing nothing.

Per user manual:
Solid red - power off (standby mode)
blinking red - power off (now cooling)
blinking green - power on (preparing to light lamp)
solid green - power on

Solid orange light on motherboard when power light is plugged in

the light on the motherboard indicates power to the board, so it's completely normal. that might be the same for the power button light.

No Power

Before you plug it in the wall, insert the installation disc and go through their tutorial. When you do that you'll plug in your range expander, press the auto configuration button on the side and wait for both lights to turn up blue. Then you can unplug the range expander and put it else where.
