the powerlink cables are new and wired individually to the beocentre 2300, because the beolab pentas mark 1 dont have the powerlink connections (only the mk 2 and 3 have) i used the proper adaptors from bang and olufsen which connect to the line input and the amp level input (4 pin din), the 4 pin din carries the display signal aswell as sound. Surely this setup is supposed to work,if the cables or adaptors were faulty,as they are wired individually one of the displays in the penta would work. Does the beocentre 2300 transmit the signal for the displays in the first place? Have you got to type in a code through the remote control to activate this function? Does the sound clipping indicator which works in the display ,has its signal fed direct from the amp at the base of the speaker and not through the powerlink cable?

I think that you got it all wrong. I have the same problem with exactly the same setup. There is a jumper inside the display which need to be changed, the speakers has probably been used with a TV and must no know that it is a audio system connected.

This sounds like a wiring problem. I would disconnect the wiring from the speakers and reconnect it. Clipping is usually cause by excessive amperage. That is usually from a positive strand of wire touching the negative.

Hi and welcome to Fixya!

If that's the case then it has to be the speaker wires. You may have disconnected or faulty wires. If that's the case you will need to replace it. The unit is surely fine for the sound clip is ticking but faulty audio output is considerable incase the speaker wires are fine.

Hope this helps and thank you for using FixYa! Have a good one!

Hi,

Have you tried this set up before.?The Beocenter can't draw the energy to the beolab penta mk1.
Check out the output watts with Beocenter it is lesser than beolab. So nomally it wont work.

Please do rate the solution if the issue is resolved or post a comment for further assistance.

Thank you for using fixya have a nice day:-)

How I can connect my mac to beolab 2000? is it possible?

Not going to be be possible but you sure do have some nice speakers!. On top of helping people with their computer problems I also write music. Would love to hear myself through these. Anyway The 2000 MUST be connected to the main system only. Its designed to only work with the main system via a MasterLink Cable. Its really simply an extension of your master system and cannot be used for anything else. Hope these helps.

Use the ones for Windows Vista. Vista Drivers work for 7.

Now considering these speakers plug in via headphone jack you dont need drivers for your speakers. You should be looking for sound drivers for your laptop.
Plug in headphones see if they work if they do then there is no reason why your speakers should not.

Logitech Speaker Help

Unfortunately, Logitech doesn't sell the wired remote controller separately. And that seems to be infamous for going out.
What worked for me (with no sound and no blue light on the remote connector) was to plug a set of earphones into the earphone port. As soon as I did that, the blue light came on and the sound was restored, even after removing the earphones. Someone else said both speakers worked properly while they had the earphones in, but not otherwise.
