Check the voltage supply rails to the audio output, usually between 14 and 30 volts. if low replace respective rail capacitor for being open circuit. also check the fusible resistor for high value.
ive also had later model lg sets with a crook audio detector ic crook, the one marked micronas.

I have a volume problem. When I adjust the volume at a listening level, a high pitch sound can be heard then the volume turns low and goes back to the set level. It happens in every channel (Direct TV)....

No ,replacing speakers will not fix the problem these sets are very well know for Poor Solder and connection ,resolder signal,Audio,& power supply boards this should correct the problem and alot of future ones too.

Very low sound

If you are using a cable box, the problem may be in the audio settings menu of the box. Check to make sure that the audio levels are set to maximum and save the changes.

Often these get changed accidentally.

Buzzing/humming noise that increases as you raise volume. So loud that you can not even watch tv

Hello snow1525,

You may have a torn speaker element. This is usually the cause of buzzing noise in the sound, also you may have a bad capacitor in your audio section. This is what I would suggest doing as a test open the front bottom panel of your TV and visually inspect the speakers for signs of ripping and or tearing in the speaker element. If the element or elements are torn it may be possible to repair it with rubber cement or rubber paste just coat the tear with the rubber cement to hole the torn edges together and allow it to dry for two days before testing the sound. If the speaker elements are not ripped then the problem may be a bad capacitor either in the audio section (power supply) or in the filter block (usually attached to the speakers to separate bass and treble signal to the speakers.

I hope this helps,

Thank you,

We have a Phiphs flat screen TV model number 26PF5321/10. There is intermittent lack of control and volume increase up to maximum. What could be the problem?

Check out the remote for sticking keys if Volume up is stuck the it will stop any other function. Is it possible that the remote has had a liquid spillage if so it will need dismantling and cleaning with Isopropyl Alcohol
