oh yea sounds like there still in there alright!!!, tip the unit back if possible and give a look underneath, you see2 or 3( depending on model) plastic tubes approx 2in long mounted to the under carriage around the base. They are there for the sole purpose of "catching" the cotter pins after pulling the rip cord. there should be a cotter pin in each of the tubes. if you see any empty ones look directly above it and youll find the pin, you may have to manually grab the cotter pin to release it withe a set of needle nose pliers or something but the definitely need to be removed.

SOURCE: brass cotter pins an plastic catch tubes???? Kenmore washer 110.92597210

This is an easy one to solve. Those are moving pins , when in transport. When it is delivered, the delivery people simply just pull on some straps and the pins fall in the cup. You need to keep these when moving washer to put back in, so not to damage anything.

SOURCE: Roper RAX4232KQ0 maker loud noise at spin cycle and then stops

There are a few things that can go wrong, If the washer doesn't adgitate or spin then probably the coupler is broken, lean the washer back and look under the machine between the motor and transmission you will find the coupler. (very common)

Coupler Part# 285753A $22.95

If its agitating but not spinning, check the lid switch, (easy check just listen for the click when you shut the lid, Or you can bypass it with a jumper wire under the console there are only 2 screw that hold the console down they are philips and either located in the front lower corners or the back lower corners)

Lid switch Part# 3949247 $42.95

If lid switch is good and the motor still doesnt run you might have a bad timer (RARE)
Timer Part# 3954563 $95.95

If you can hear the motor running but its not spinning and you have rulled out the coupler then your probably looking at a clutch (common problem) either the clutch isnt grabbing or the brake isnt releasing both problems solved with the clutch kit

Clutch kit Part# 285785 $44.95

Worst case your looking at a transmission, (uncommon) to rule out, make sure its agitating, then put washer in spin cycle. look under the washer to see if the clutch bell is spinning. if its not then you will need a transmission.

Trans Part# 3360629 $172.95

if its making loud noises when it stops spinnig then the block is bad.

Block Part# 389140 $14.95

No,there are two such pins in the machine for shipping purposes only when it is shipped out, they drop out into little plastic cups under the machine after delivery,
If it doesn't spin or agitate check the coupler located between the motor and gear box consists of three pieces two are plastic one on the motor and one on the gear box the other connects the two in the center it is rubber.
If it spins but doesn't agitate, most likely a bad gear case.

My RAS8244LQO Rober washer won't spin . Can you

Usually a drive coupling or lid switch assembly, if this is a Roper washer. If you put the timer on spin and turn it on, it runs but wont spin then it is a coupling 99% of the time. If it wont start in spin then check your lid switch. This washer has a very cool design to get into the mechanism. The top console flips up, usually you have to take out two screws on each of the front corners and then pull the console forward and up until it flips upside down. Disconnect the lid switch wiring harness and take a large flat screw driver and stick it into the left and right hand slots that have the brass retainer clips . You stick the screwdriver straight down and then pry the clips out by pushing back on the screwdriver. Remove both clips, grab the outer washer cabinet and tip it towards you, at a 45 degree angle you can slide the front of the cabinet out from under the base and remove the whole cabinet. Now you will need to remove the water pump, two clips, leave the hoses on, the motor has two clips that sometimes has two screws holding the clips on. Unclip the motor wiring and remove the motor. You will see the drive coupling, three parts, one rubber cushion with 6 holes and two round discs with three fingers. The two discs are attached to the motor shaft and the transmission shaft. Usually you will see broken fingers, worn holes or cracked plastic when you have a bad coupling. You need to remove the plastic parts from the shafts, and install the new coupling by tapping them onto the shaft. I usually use a long 3/8 inch extension and a light hammer to tap the coupling on untill the coupling is flush with the shaft. Install the black cushion onto the transmission disc, line up the motor disc with the cushion holes, install the bottom motor clip first, and then the top motor clip. This ususally requires some strong thumbs to clip the top motor clip on. Reinstall the pump, the cabinet. Make sure the cabinet is on the side rails in back. Reinstall the cabinet clips, plug your lid switch wiring back in and reinstall the console. Good Luck.

Roper RAX4232KQ0 washer grinds

Yes they are only about 40 dollars but if your washer doesn't agitate then the problem would be the "drive motor to transmission coupling"

UNBALANCED WASHER

Does it happen all the time, with no connection to laundry quantity? In case of a positive answer, it sound like a shock absorber issue. Could be that it's moved from its place or become malfunction and should be replaced. Good luck
