Hi

It can be problem with the audio driver that is installed in your computer. If the driver is corrupted or not working properly then you may get the problems like this. To fix this issue, you should uninstall the driver and reboot your computer. After rebooting, it will automatically start to install the appropriate driver for that. If it does not start installing driver then you can install it manually. You can also search for the latest driver available on web. Download and install it.

Please get back to us if you have further query else please accept the suggestion.

Thank you for contacting fixya.com

No sound in my PC

hi nkorear, i am relay happy to help you in this problem but i need some brief details of your system ( what is your os , are you using on board sound card r external sound card ) but if you can you provide to me are i will give you perfect solution or else i will give you some basic normal problem solutions base on sound device.

Step1 : First of all check what is your default audio device setting. For this, open Control Panel > Sounds and audio devices, open Audio tab

See that the Device selected is your sound-card or on-board audio device. It should not be blank or some modem device. Set the Default sound playback and sound recording device correctly from the drop down menu. If your device is not there in this list see the step 2.

Step2: If the step 1 is not successful, it means that your sound device software has become either corrupt or has been accidentally un-installed. In such case, install the sound driver from the sound-card/mother-board driver CD. You can also download the latest driver if you don't have the driver CD. After you install the driver, restart your computer, and then check the settings as in step 1 again.

If neither of step not work, its mean your sound card is corrupted , i can give you two option for that

option one : internal sound card , you can buy one and give to your motherboard wight color install the drive you can get back your sound as good as old price range form 6$

option two : external sound card . now usb sound card is available in market u can use them too its very easy to install and use ( but quality will be low) price range form 3$

Dear sir/madam, Our PC Don't have Sound Device please free down load the sound device.

There are many experts that can give you link for free driver downloads. But unfortunately you did not give us complete information about what you need.

Look in first the specs of your computer... give us all the information... the brand, model and type of the motherboard (if sound card is built in) and or the sound card if its pci.

Please post back so we could help you further.

How would i know if i have a sound card

There are 3 possible scenarios:
  1. You have an "external" sound card
  2. You have a "built-in" sound card
  3. You have no sound card
External sound cards are separate extension cards that is plugged into the CPU to give it additional functionality like giving a high definition sound through high specs sound cards. It looks like below:

And when inserted in the CPU, it gives you an extended sound port at the back like below:

While built-in sound cards are those that are already provided by the motherboard that your computer has. The provide the same sound ports especially the color for the ports since these are industry standards.

Please take a look at the rear part of your computer. If there is, then you've got a sound card plugged in. Now make sure the necessary software is installed.

  1. Right click "My Computer" and click "Properties"
  2. Click the Hardware tab and click the "Device Manager" button. Locate the "Sound ... group and you should see if there are red "x" or yellow question marks "?" there. If there are, you need to install the software for your sound card.

I have a sony LCD HDTV pictures in and out every so often

This is a common problem with this unit the sound card is on its way out . The babbitt that is used on the card melts causing a short on the sound card itself . If you recently bought it bring it back . The sound card usually last 8- 18 months .If you have a surround sound or a stereo plug it into the t.v this will give you sound. sound card is approx. 325 buck to replace.

When installed INTEX 3D MULTIMEDIA PCI SOUND CARD it is giving sound but immediately it is disappearing

Dear Nath,

I met same problem with my client before. Hope this helps; Uninstall any music or sound application(s) that has remote control feature or disable it (uninstallation is preferred). Now, at Safe Mode(with built-in sound card disabled), in Control panel soundcard device properties uninstall all sound card drivers. Restart in normal mode and reinstall back the sound card drivers. By transferring the secondary sound on another PCI slots may help solve the problem, the reason is the IRQ number conflicts. One of the worst case we met to solve this kind of problem is by reformatting the system but do it only when there is a great need, extra time, file backed-up. Have a great day.

Best regards,
