Our Robert Shaw thermostat 9520 just went blank. Do you have any ideas, nothing is working?

Try replacing the batteries.

Remove the cover by using a coin or screwdriver to prise it off. Insert the coin at the left side between the backing plate and the the cover, and twist.

Romove old batteries and insert new ones.

My scerity sys went off and I my car over heats I think it needs a new thermastat

maybe your security system monitors engine temp ... it doesnt have to be the thermastat thats bad .. it could be the radiator fan switch or relay bad .. you can tell which by the following.
1. if it overheats only when idling or in heavy traffic but does not overheat while on the road (moving) then your problem is more likely the radiator fan switch, relay or fan motor ..
2. if your car overheats all the time even while driving then it could be the thermostat ..

check belts, coolent level and radiator clogging ..

No Power to Duo-Term Thermastat

Can you give me model #'s of thermostat & AC unit, as well as upper unit? Number of or at least a description of thermostat, and numbers for ceiling assy should be visible when filter taken off, as well as # for upper unit should be tagged on bottom of unit on roof.

the thermostat should be closed when you take it out, therefore the thermostat is bad. It does not closed.

Overheating

Posible thermastat sticking closed. If thermastat doesn't open heated water is trapped in the engine causing it to run hot and not allowing hot water to travle to the heater core when called for.
