    Hi mavanhinsberg,

Can you give me a few more details and just clarify the problem, is it that MS Works won't print anything, but all other programs can print?
Do you have more than one printer?
What button, menu, keyboard shortcut are you using to print?

    Thanks

    Si

How to download programe to print labels

Easy Label Printer is a simple program for printing addresses on to sheets of labels, and the only one, as far as I know, to print addresses directly from the Windows Address Book (XP) or Windows Contacts (Vista).

Here is the link

http://www.tucows.com/preview/370301

At that page, Simply click on the "DOWNLOAD NOW" button, and when asked to save or open, SELECT & Click on "OPEN"

After the download finishes it will ask you to confirm opening, so click OPEN.

The Label program will begin installing.

After installing find the program in your programs listing menu and start it up.

If you need help with the program itself click on the menu item "HELP".

I hope this helps, if it does please consider giving me a good rating as this is the first "HELP" that I have answered here :-)

& Good Luck!

Everthing works OK but no ink print appears on paper

Ethier your printer is out of ink, or the printer nozzels are clogged. most printers have programs that allow you to do diogonstics from the computer most also have setting buttons on the printer itself. the manual that came with the printer will instruct you on how to clean the nozzles, and how to determin ink levels.

Quicken will not print. Program aborts after error message: Problems communicating to printer: "Dell Photo Printer 944" The specified resource name cannot be found in the image file.

Hi,

Ensure that your printer is online and all cables are securely attached.

(i) If your printer is on a network, ensure that your network allows you permission to access the printer.

(ii) If you are printing to paper, ensure that the Quicken PDF Printer is not selected.
(iii) If you have more than one printer:

(iv) Ensure that you have selected the correct printer in Quicken. (Select the QuickenFile menu, select Printer Setup, and select the item you want to print. Be sure the correct printer shown in the Printer field. For example, if you are printing a report, select File > Printer Setup > For Reports/Graphs.)

(v)Try making another printer the default printer.
Microsoft Windows Vista:
Click the Microsoft Windows Vista logo (Start button) and select Control Panel.
Under Hardware and Sound, click Printer.

Select the printer and click the Set as default command button.

Microsoft Windows XP:

Click the Microsoft Windows Start button and select Printers and Faxes.

Right-click a printer and select Set as Default Printer.

(vi) Try printing from WordPad or Notepad to be sure Windows is communicating with your printer.

Click the Microsoft Windows Start button, select All Programs or Programs, select Accessories and select WordPad or Notepad.
Enter some text. Select the File menu and select Print.

(vii) If your file does print from WordPad or Notepad, try reinstalling the printer or printer driver.
(viii) If your file does not print from WordPad or Notepad, it probably means that Windows is not communicating with the printer. Check your Windows printer settings.
Thanks for using Fixya.
Good Luck and have a nice day.

How do I get XP files I haved saved to print on my Vista system? When I download old xp files to vista they're blurry and they print blurry.

It should not matter

Try checking your printer
See if there's still enough ink on it to print.

You can also try to clean the ink cartridges nozzles

I have microsoft works 4.5 and have never had a problem. Recently, my printer died, and our computer man hooked me up to my husbands printer. It is a wireless/electrical outlet connected printer. He has...

Regarding the chat we had recently, I've found yet another converter that is supposed to enable transferring files between Works 4.5 and Word 2000:
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=9b16eb3c-6df6-4545-89ff-05c627fba36b&DisplayLang=en
If you give it a try, then it will make sense to spend some time converting your files to a Word format, which is bound to be supported by current and future Office applications, both Microsoft and 3rd party. This will ensure that one day you won't find yourself with half of your life's worth of files that you can't read on some new computer...
Good luck :)

Word/Excel/Notepad docs will not print in black ink, will print in all other colors (incl those that require black ink) and everything else not Office product will print in black--new problem

Hi katethecat,

It is the Setup in your software.

First of all check this:
Go to CONTOL PANEL-> Printers-> select your printer if there are more than one listed.
Right Click on the name of the printer
Left click for the following:
Printing Preferences-.> color
Make sure the Color is selected and not the black or grayscale.
Click Ok
Exit from the menu
When you choose the color option it prints color & black
If you choose the black option, it prints everything in black.
Some software overrides it.
Please go into Word, Excel, Notepad etc and check the Printer Preferences are set to color not black.
Hope this will work for you.
Please give a rating.

Cheers
