Blinking "L" message

Copying abruptly stopped without any paper jam.
A blinking "L" is flashing in the message window.
There is a whinning noise which continues approx 10 seconds and stops.
I replaced the drum but none of the symptoms changed.
Thoughts?

They do not offer the helix gear separate for this main motor. I spoke with joe @ partsdrop. I have the copier mentioned above and yes the gear was cracked although difficult to see. Any suggestions on where to find just the main motor gear?

If it has that high pitchied noise it is the main drive motor gear has cracked. Unplug the machine and remove the back cover. Looking from the back the motor is just left of center and about mid way down the machine, A couple of connectors and 4 phillips screws hold it in place. Remove it and there is a small helix type gear affixed to the shaft. It may not even look crackes but you will be able make it slip on the shaft, It isnt all that expensive to relace.

The printer is not printing receipts and the error indicator is blinking on and off, what is the solution to this?

Flashing (approx. once every second): Out of paper
Flashing (approx. twice every second): Mechanical error (Buzzer sounds once.)
Most likely your paper feed is giving you the error. Remove the current feed, ensure there are no paper jam & insert fresh paper.
If
Mechanical Error :: Quick blinking Buzzer Sounds continuously for a pprox. 1 second :: Reset the Power
switch

Paper End Blinks.:: Buzzer Repeats a short 3-time sound twice at intervals of 0.5 second.:: Set a new paper roll.
Paper Near End Blinks.(Once a second) :: buzzer Repeats a short 3-time sound twice at intervals of 0.5 second.:: Set a new paper roll.

Mechanical Error : If the printer mechanism has a greater load due to a paper jam, etc., the buzzer will sound and the SEL/ERROR lamp will blink to stop the printer mechanism.
Paper End : If the printer has run out of paper, the paper sensor in the paper path near the print head will detect the end of the paper roll, turn on the buzzer, and blink the SEL/ERROR lamp to stop the printer mechanism. If the paper is inserted into the paper path, the paper will be loaded.
Paper Near End : If the paper is running out, the paper near end sensor will be activated to turn on
the buzzer and make the SEL/ERROR lamp blink. Even after the paper near end is detected, a command can be used to print by the specified number of lines. (See a description on the command for setting the number of print lines after paper near end detection)
Finally
Backup Data Clear : When the power is turned on, depending on the SEL switch operation, the
backup data in the input buffer will be cleared according to the flowchart on the next page.
To clear the input buffer, turn on the power while pressing the SEL switch.
The following messages will be printed.
"Clear Data in Buffer"
"Cleared Data in Buffer"
To print the data in the input buffer, simply turn the power on.
The following message is printed and the data in the input buffer is printed.
"Power Down(Data in Buffer)

How to stop red blinking "paper"? couldn't stop

There is probably a paper jam since you shut it off as it was printing. Turn off the printer. Remove the tray and look inside. Remove any sheets of paper you see. Open the back of the printer (the pass-thru door) and remove any paper you see. Turn on the printer. If that fails, check the blink status against the manual's troubleshooting guide to locate a different solution.

Middle light blinking message says paper

Look for any small rips of paper caught in a sensor back there. There are little "fingers" that the paper runs over and its all timed. if one of those sensors are jammed with something or sticky, error messages.

Problem starts with "paper jam" messager. Can not shut down as light keeps blinking and "shutting down" message is on screen.

hi!!!! in your case, try to unplug the power of your printer and check the material that stock inside the printer that can cause the printer paper jam and after you check to plug it back.It is normal when the printer is blinking when the printer is paper jam because that is the error when your printer is paper jam.

Flashing E3 error code for a paper jam

I had the same problem with my mp 160, Error message was blinking. I tried to print but the printer would take 1/10 of the whole page and stop, even though rollers were moving. My solution for this was to take a piece of thin cardbord(I used a magazine cover), cut it in a size of A4, put it in printer, printed it and when the rollers start moving I forcebly pushed the cardboard through. Now it seems to work fine. Hope it does for you.

Xante 1200, paper jam front. Red light is blinking without a paper jam.

PROBLEM: Paper Jam. XANTE 1200, Tabloid size, B&W, Printer —Red light blinking fast indicating paper jam upfront. If you checked everything, trays, ink cartridge etc., and see no paper jam anywhere, take the top cover off and look inside the (head) for the jammed paper! This printer is problem free. It has given us the best service for many years.

Light keeps flashing red,amber, green

If you turn off the printer and turn it back on, do you get any noises, ie motor noises, or does it instantly go to all lights flashing?
If you get no noises this usually indicates a board fault and you should look for a new printer.

Problem with HP 7450 and "Paper Jam"

hi, mezz

try this

There are 2 different types of flashing patterns with those two lights on the printer.
***
Resume light and power light BLINKING ALTERNATELY
Problem: Paper is jammed in the printer.
***
Resume blinking SIMULTANEOUSLY with power light

Problem:
The print cartridge carriage is stuck.

Solution:
1. Open the top of the printer.
2. Remove anything that is blocking the carriage path.
3. Turn the printer off.
4. Turn the printer on.

Problem:
There is something wrong with the printer. (I didn't write it, I am pulling this from actual HP tech documents, so don't blame me on this one) :)
Solution:
Turn the printer off.
Turn the printer on.
If the printer will not turn off, unplug the power cable from the electrical outlet or wall outlet.
Unplug the power cord from the back of the printer.
Wait about 30 seconds.
Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.
Plug the power cord to the back of the printer.

oke, post in me back

tq
