I know this solution is over a year old but I couldn't leave this unanswered as the previous person has done, and after looking at other questions that "Jennifer Sharp" has answered I realize this person has no clue what they're talking about anyway.

Alright the reason that the orange charging light blinks once and then usually turns off is because there was a problem with improper voltage at some point. There could be a couple of things that caused this problem to occur, and one way or another they can be fixed.
1. The battery could have come loose or it may not be making a good connection, in which case the easiest way to fix it is to remove the battery cover with a Philips screwdriver, remove the battery, and then place the battery back in essentially resetting the connection and hopefully fixing your problem.
2. If that doesn't fix it then there could be a wire loose leading to the battery terminal. This is a little more complicated as it will require you to disassemble your Nintendo DS which means you will need a tri-wing screwdriver to remove the screws from the case, and after that you will have to find the battery terminals on the circuit board, and make sure that the red and black wires are securely fastened into the terminals, though none of this is extremely hard to do but I do suggest researching this and making sure you know what you're doing.

Charger seems to have both red and green lites flashing at the same time no sequence and both batteries connected read 4.0 VDC, are these chargers repariable or throw aways

Your manual is here. The section on charging states, that green blinking means your battery is fully charged but blinking red means that your charger is faulty. I would say repairable.

1. Plug the female connector of the AC power cord (supplied) to the AC receptacle on the charger and plug in the male connector on the AC power cord into the wall outlet.

2. The On/Off LED indicator is blinking RED, this is abnormal. Unplug AC power cord from the on-board battery charger and wall outlet. Charger may need to be replaced. Contact an Invacare dealer or qualified technician.

3. When the On/Off LED indicator light is Off, charger is Off.

4. When the Charge LED indicator light is YELLOW, the batteries are charging.

5. When the Charge LED indicator light is solid GREEN, the batteries are fully charged (as their condition will allow).

6. When charging is complete, unplug the male connector of the AC power cord from the wall outlet and then unplug the female connector of the AC power cord from the AC receptacle on the charger.

Charger not working

When the red light is on it is to indicate that the charger is getting power from the wall outlet. If there is a second light that normally comes on Green when charging pay close attention to it when you first plug the charger in. See if it blinks even once then turns off. If it does that means the charger is not seeing any battery voltage at the plug that goes into the chair. If the green light does not blink at all then it usually means the charger is defective. Also most wheelchair battery chargers will not charge the batteries if the chair is to dead to even turn on.

What does a orange power light mean

please see the commentary. God bless you

  • The majority of laptops will display a solid green, blue or purple battery light to indicate that the battery is fully charged. Most manufacturers indicate that a laptop is in the process of charging by displaying a solid or blinking green, orange, blue or purple light. If your battery indicator light is green, blue or purple, the battery is probably functional, regardless of whether the light is blinking. If the light is solid orange, the laptop is probably in the process of charging.

Battery Error Coneventions

  • Many battery manufacturers use rapidly blinking lights to indicate that a battery's charge level is low. In general, a laptop will rapidly blink orange or red when its charge drops below a certain level until the computer is plugged into a power outlet and charged. If your laptop's battery indicator continues to blink rapidly in orange or red or if it remains red even when it is plugged into the charger, it indicates a problem with your battery or the charger.

Nyko charger won't charge

Had same problem with blinking lights and not charging.
Plug charger base in (blinking lights), remove controllers, and plug USB cable into front charge slot (behind hinged panel). This reset charger base and lights stopped blinking. As FYI - the USB was connected to other device (charging it). Add the controllers and correct charging lights show up - including the controller 1 and 2 symbols. Controllers now charging.

The battery will only blink on red. It won't charge.

Your battery is probably shot. The batteries for the Worx trimmers are terrible. They sell replacement batteries on ebay, but if you can afford it i highly recommend buying a quality trimmer from your local hardware store, either plug in or gas.

Wont charge

There are 2 possible reasons. Charger is incompatible/defective or Battery is no longer charging due to its 500 cycles life. You may check the output of the charger with Voltmeter/Multimeter if its stable 5V, If its stable then best thing to replace the battery.
Good Luck

WON"T WORK

sounds like a dead battery. Plug the origional charger into it and the front led (below the flash) should flash red. If the red led in the back of the camera flashes or stays lit, then you have the wrong charger plugged in. (the camera won't power up if the back red/green led is on when plugged in)
