Question about Nintendo 64 Console
Well I had a problem like that while I was going to play perfect dark it said currupted memory card needs to be re formatted so I use my second memory card and it was fine so it's just a bad memory card you have to buy a new one then can't fix the first one.

No you are upgrading the ram or processor memory making it faster and have better graphics not the memory that saves the data thats in the game itself or the controller. So you dont have to worry about losing saves
