Question about FixYa Service

Hey i am a member in fixya and i have posted 200 solutions,with 80% and 21 votes and i haven't received a mail from Fixya,so when would i receive it?

Hi There, I don't know what e-mail you are expecting. But specific questions that are not covered in the FAQ's can be addressed by the Support Team: http://www.fixya.com/contact She just got back from vacation so there is probably a healthy backlog. How will i know if anyone has a solution to my posted problem?


Hi Jeff,

When your problem receives a solution you will be notified in a few different ways:

  1. An email alert will be sent to the email address you registered with.
  2. An alert will appear at the top of the website if your browsing the website or the next time you visit Fixya.
  3. After signing in you will also see a new post on under the all activity section on your homepage.

How to delete a question from Fixya


If you want to stop receiving emails or notifications about a question you posted you can do that one of two ways:

To "Unfollow" Only One Problem
  1. Click the Edit button next to your name.
  2. Click the My Problems tab to the left of the screen.
  3. Here you can select "Unfollow" on each of the problems you no longer wish to be contacted about.

To "Unfollow" All Problems & Solutions
  1. Click the Edit button next to your name.
  2. Select Emails to the left of the screen.
  3. Select Unfollow, to unfollow all problem and solutions you are currently notified about.
Change email Settings: Choose to stop receiving all e-mails from FixYa except forgotten password requests and support e-mails.
  1. Click the Edit button next to your name.
  2. Select Emails to the left of the screen.
  3. Select "Do not send me any more emails from FixYa"
If you wish to delete a question you posted, you will need to contact the FixYa Support team explaining the reason for removal. Either email support at support@fixya.com or fill out the support email form here.

For which device you need setup codes? You haven't specified anything detailed. Give me the Brand Names and Model Numbers of both your remote control and device to which you wants to setup codes with, by Fixya. Without these, how can one post a solution to your porblem/ Send me these details and help me to help you. OK.

Hi,

You received a "Thank You" letter but have not received wht you paid for huh? It's ok, but the thing is, we at FixYa! cannot help you obtain that manual. The best thing to do is to contact IBM's post sales department since they were the one who processed the sale of manual. They can send you the manual again if you haven't received it. You can contact them at 1-866-428-4465. It just so happen that I work for IBM, but for technical support and not sales that's why I know their number.

How are answered ranked? I see that some answers get more thumbs up than others but are still buried deep down. How does fixya sort the answers order?


Hi fixyamaster,The solutions that receive the most Thumbs Up are usually at the top. However, since the asker's vote is weighted proportionally higher in the displayed rating, a question that has actually received many Thumbs Ups from other users will have a lower displayed rating if the asker gave it a low vote. Hey,
You will only get paid from Premium problems and Premium chats, the free problems which we have 50 000.. or more on the website, we get no pay from these. Only from Premium problems, If you get Fixya vote / accepted or 7 day payment if assumed to be solved. these will show up in your account statements. same with chat sessions. Thanks for trying is 6usd, helpful is 8usd and fixya is 10usd, no rating is assumed to be solved 6usd on chat, it will show in account statements if rejected or not. if not rejected it will be shown as accepted with no rating and 6usd for you.
