Can you over charge a mp3 player and if so how do you fix it

If your charger/adapter is very light or has an AC voltage range of 100-240 V, it is of a type (switched mode) that is generally intelligent enough to prevent overcharging. The battery set is normally comprised of more than one cell; typically three, and if one of these fails (not uncommon), the device they power will often no longer turn on.

Philips MP3 PLayer

Overcharging can damage an mp3 player. I will give you a few "soft" fixes, but most likely you will need to call Philips and see if you are still in-warranty:
Triple Reset for Philips’ GoGear:

Disconnect the Go Gear from computer. Press the reset pinhole until the player turns off. Hold in the volume + button, and reconnect the player to the computer while holding the volume + button in. Keep holding the volume + button for an additional 5-50 seconds. Windows should eventually go into recovery mode and revive the player- it will pop up a window that says Found New Hardware Wizard. If this pop-up does not appear, reset the player again WHILE connected to the computer. Open the Philips Device Manager, and go to Repair Tab. Reset the player one more time while connected to computer. Follow the repair instructions.

After repair is complete, upgrade the firmware for this player. Will erase all the songs, but you should be good to go again.

If you mean the screen then yes... It's a common problem... The battery will flex the screen if it's overcharged and eventually crack the screen... Microsoft will **t replace it... Sorry... have ** answer to fix it. Just why it happens and that microsoft won't help you with it.

Mp3 player wont turn on...its been charging for days..

Never overcharge a li-ion battery. You must firstly 're-set' your T8 (refer to your manual, or download a manual from the Samsung website - download centre). Disregard the charging indicator, as this will always show 'charging' when connecting to a pc. If out of warranty, then you may be faced with new battery, as it is possible to fry a battery if left too long. If under warranty, then seek advice from approved Samsung service agent.
