SOURCE: My trusty, beloved rechargeable travel Braun

With a little bit of skill and patience, you can replace the rechargeable battery in your Braun shaver for less than $12.00 or so (w S&H included). I've replaced mine twice over the past 10 years (and the foil) and it's still running great.

You can order the replacement rechargeable battery online, I've used Electric Shaver Service in Nebraska for getting parts I needed.

http://www.electricshaver.com/braunheadcross.htm

If you want to buy a new one, try Shaver.com as they have your beloved model for $50.00

If you decide to do the battery replacement yourself, you'll have to be able to unsolder the old battery from the circuit board and resolder the new battery back onto it, once you open up the shaver.

Hope you find this Very Helpful and best regards!

SOURCE: new foil required for braun 370 travel shaver

Hello MrandMrsInger! You can purchase a new replacement foil for your Braun 370 at the link I've provided below. Basically, you'll be getting a new cutter block and foil for it, as the foils are no longer provided separately.

Braun, now owned by Gillette, discovered that many folks would buy just the new screen (foil) and it would get torn/damaged by a nick in the cutter block blades, so they packaged these wear items as a set to eliminate those very common problems. I had it happen to mine several years ago, so I know why they made the change.

Anyway, here's the website with your replacement parts:

http://www.electricshaverstore.com/get_list_125.htm

Just scroll down to the 2nd item shown, I believe, and you'll see your replacement set.

You can also use the part numbers to try to locate another supplier, if you wish, as these are the actual Braun part numbers provided.

Hope you find this Very Helpful and best regards!

SOURCE: My braun shaver does not run although the battery is good.

You can buy the motor drive unit here: http://www.electricshaverstore.com/get_item_7030621_braun-motor-drive-assembly-pulsonic-5671-790cc-959.htm but it needs to be calibrated to the circuit board according to everything I have read. Unfortunately, I do not know the procedure for the calibration.

SOURCE: My Braun shaver 8585 has died. Foil, cable, box,

If I understand correctly, the shaver is dead but all other components are in good condition. If this is the case, you should consider ordering a replacement lower unit. See shaveroutlet.com link below

http://shaveroutlet.com/braun-8585-activator-lower-unit-p-364.html

Newer models made by Braun do not use all the same parts as your shaver so this would be a good way to go

Where can I buy replacement parts for a braun shaver in Winnipeg, Manitoba?

The best thing to do is buy online, while you're on here. The parts are cheaper and there is a much wider variety that you'll find in a store. Check out: http://www.onlineshavers.com/

Braun Drive Unit 7030244

To open the shaver, you will first need to gently pry off the 'cap. on the bottom of the shaver that surrounds the hole where the cord plugs into to. You can use a small flat screwdriver or similar object to do this. Once it is removed, the side grips will pull away revealing 4 screws on the back. Remove screws to take off the back cover. The internal parts will then simply lift out. Reassemble in reverse order.

You will find a replacement drive unit for model 8585 at shaveroutlet.com. See link below

Braun Pulsonic model 9595. Trimmer will not close properly. Can I repair this myself?

The trimmer is replaceable and can be purchased as an assembly http://buyitnow64.stores.yahoo.net/brshrese7pul.html You will T-6 and T-8 torx drivers to take apart the head end of the shaver. Using these tools, remove the swiveling head, the hold down cover over the motor assembly, and then pop off the drive arm for the trimmer. Now the broken trimmer assembly can be slid out of the end of the shaver by carefully prying between the case where the on/off button is located and the black trimmer assembly base with a small flat blade jeweler's screwdriver. The new trimmer assembly can then be slid into the case and the shaver reassembled. Just be sure the ends of the retraction spring on the new trimmer assembly are installed over the little chrome retaining lugs for them or your trimmer will not fully retract (my trimmer assembly arrived with the spring ends loose and not retained by the lugs).

How to apply appliance oil on braun shaver model 6550

First, make sure that it is shaver oil. Or Braun appliance oil. Other oils may be too heavy and gum up the shaver. Apply one drop ro each side of the shaver foil periodically. If you need Braun shaver oil. it can be found at shaveroutlet.com

Braun Model 5415. On/off switch doesn't always work. Not sure if worth fixing as it only works when plugged into an outlet.

Hello Highway! It appears that your battery needs to be replaced also, as well as the switch. Typically this wouldn't be all that expensive to do, if you can perform the repair yourself, or sent it off to an authorized service center.

But, the best thing to do is to give a call to a Authorized Braun service center and get an estimate of having them do the repairs needed and use that as your guide to make a decision to either repair or replace the shaver.

You can call electric shaver toll free at 1-888-476-1785 and get a estimate for having them repair your shaver to like new. You can also view the parts and costs for what you need, should you decide to undertake the repairs yourself, by going to their web site at www.electricshaver.com and entering in your model number to view all the available parts for your Braun shaver.

I've repaired several of my family's and my own shavers using them and have been very pleased with the work and the turn around to get them back.
If you are handy and can dissemble and solder, you can do this yourself, otherwise, you can send it off to a repair service that will do this for you.

If you wish to do this yourself, you'll have to take the shaver apart. There are two (2) small plastic caps on the bottom of the shaver that can be removed with a small pick or flatbladed screwdriver. Once those are out, you can unscrew the two screws that hold the shaver together and gently pry off the side panels.

This will expose the internal circuit board and the rechargable batteries that need to be unsolded. You can then reinstall NEW rechargable batteries and solder them onto the PCB (printed circuit board). You can also purchase a complete internal PCB with the batteries and everything you need, you just swap out the electronics for the new one, although this costs about $39, while the batteries alone are much less.

Put the shell together and reinstall the retaining screws and caps and you're done.

Here's a link to get the replacement batteries for your shaver. They also do the repair service, if you don't want to do it yourself.

Braun 8595 vibrates excessively and sometimes jams

I'm in the process of replacing the Braun 8000 Series Activator Motor Drive Unit in my shaver. The Motor Drive Unit is all one piece, cost $33.99 at http://shaveroutlet.com/.To disassemble remove the plastic cover on the bottom that covers the cord socket. Be careful, there are a total of two tabs on the short sides and four very small tabs on the long sides. I used my fingernail to create a space big enough to insert the corner on a credit card in the center of a long side and gently removed the cover. Using a screwdriver could damage the plastic. The two sides then pop off. There are a total of four screws holding the body together. Remove the screws, the shaver splits into. Remove the Motor Drive Unit and replace with new unit. There is also a circuit board with the batteries below the Motor Drive Unit. Assembly is the reverse of above.

Device will not charge...

Just take it back to the store where it was purchased and they will trade it for a "New" (Not broken) one. It's the holiday season and you have a week or two, on returns. There is a two year warranty on the product ( Braun 5790 ), if you want to go that route. You can contact the company @ 1-800-BRAUN-11, the person, "I" spoke with, was very nice and didn't act like I was a problem and she didn't try to just blow me off.
Good Luck-
