Question about Pioneer AVIC-N1 Car DVD Player

1 Answer

I'm installing this and i have hooked up all of the wires correctly. The yellow to a constant, red to ACC, and grounded. The problem is that the deck will not turn on. i have power at the point where the wires enter the deck. But when i try and turn the deck on, nothing. No motor, no lights, no nothing.

Where do you connect the memory wire on a jvc kd g110 car stero.....what color is the memory wire ?? what does hook red wire to acc fuse mean??? what wire does the red wire on the radio connect to on...

The yellow wire is most likely the memory wire as it needs to be connected to a constant 12 volt source.

"Hook red wire to to acc fuse" means you need to hook into the fuse block under an Accessory Fuse. (ie: something that can't be turned on unless the car is running or the key is in the "Accessory" position)

The red wire is explained above. It does not connect to the harness.

Just remember that the yellow wire needs to be hooked to a constant 12 volts and the red needs to be hooked to a circuit that is only active when the car is running or switched to the "ACC" position.

Every time i turn off the the deh 2900 , stored radio stations are lost. how to store stations without losing them ?

this issue is caused by the deck not being hooked up to the constent from the cars battery take the deck out of the dash and get the color codes for the car and the deck and find the wire thats for the constant from the battery and hook up thoes wires

the wires are usually labeled on the deck as follows

labeled wires
red .......... ACC
yellow......+Battery
blue ........ system remote control/remote

unlabeled wires
green ...................................... speaker+
green with line ......................... speaker-
purple ..................................... speaker+
purple with line ........................ speaker-
gray ....................................... speaker+
gray with line .......................... speaker-
white ...................................... speaker+
white with line ......................... speaker-
black ..................................... Ground
orange ................................... dimmer+ (usually not used)
orange with line .......................dimmer- (usually not used)

i reccamend you to get the plug in harness that has the wireing alredy done you only have to match up the colors

i hope this helps

NO POWER TO MY DECK

Hello clarky909,

On your Alero, the 12V constant wire is ORANGE and should connect to the YELLOW wire coming from the DEH-2300 wiring harness. 12V switched on your Alero is YELLOW and should be connected to RED coming from the DEH-2300.

Hope this helps.

Need wiring diagram for kenwood car stereo red positive black neg yellow ground?

Red wire connects to Acc, yellow wire to constant +12volts , black to car body, ground. Do not connect the yellow thru the igniton switch (Acc). This will burn out your ignition switch.Connect diectly to Batt thru a fuse.

I hooked up my jvc kd-avx11 and i had power to open and close

check to be sure the deck has 12v+ switched to the red wire, 12v+ constant to the yellow wire, and that the black is grounded well.. If all of that is correct, you are probably looking at a unit in need of repair.

DehP6700 mp restet everytime keys is turned on.

first red is ignition or acc (turns off and on with the key) yellow is constant power (always hot keeps memory) orange is illumination (lights up radio) if vehicle doesnt have a seperate illumination wire connect it to the ignition wire. now process of elimination your ground is correct because it worked with all wires to acc your acc works because u had all them connected to it and it worked your problem is in your yellow or constant/memory i suggest u test it again take piece of wire any old thing long enough will do and run the wire directly from the battery under the hood and just run it outside the car through the window and connect it directly to the yellow wire make sure u have a good connection at the battery on the positive side if u have test light or volt meter test the wire before connecting it to the radio if it works then u know there is a problem with the wire from the vehicle (fuse wrong wire bad wire ) if it doesnt work make sure ground is connected tight and that paint is cleaned of the surface where ground connects and that the yellow wire to the radio is tight in the back of the radio.

Won't turn off or on automatically

You must have the yellow and the red wires tied together on a constant voltage source.

Only the yellow wire should be on a constant voltage source.

The red wire should only get voltage when the ignition is turned on or in the acc. position.

You need to rewire the red wire on the radio.

Let me know if it helps.
