It appears that you need to replace the timer. Also try unplugging it for about 15 minutes, if it is an electronic glitch, sometimes powering it down, and then back on corrects this issue, but it is more often a problem with the timer.

Countdown timer not working

Good Afternoon Friend,

I understand that the timer on your Electrolux dryer, model#EIMED55IIW, is not advancing to show you how much time is left on the dry cycle. I suggest resetting your appliance, by either unplugging it or shutting the power off at your homes circuit breaker, for 3-5 minutes. Restore power and restart your dryer. I ask that you please follow up with a comment on the post, at your convenience, to advise if further troubleshooting is needed or if your dryer status has changed successfully.

-Best Regards-

Float Switch

The float switch may be hung up and this can cause the dishwasher to be stuck in a cycle. c0710f47-1522-425e-8835-1d8d6349eff9.gif.

Timer / Control

If your dishwasher gets stuck in a cycle first try shutting off the breaker for at least 5 minutes if this does not correct the problem you will need to replace the timer/electronic control

When I start my dryer it runs for about 2 minutes then shuts off showing 00 minutes remaining

You may have a faulty timer, or a safety limit is shutting down the dryer because it is heating up. How long do you have to wait before you can turn it back on after it goes off?

LG dryer won't shut off - gets stuck at 6 minutes

Your problem seems to be the timer switch is faulty.
Timer switches are normally non-repairable. You would need to replace the faulty switch

LG Electric Dryer DLE2515S - dryer timer is stuck on 6 minutes and continues drying until I manually switch off - sensor dryer does not appear to be working either.

OK, test the dryness sensor for its operational value. if the test confirms sensor function, you will need to replace the main PCB board in this case.

Now, if the sensor test reveals a faulty sensor device, simply replace the sensor. In most cases, this iwll be a fualty PCB main and, replacing it will usually fix this issue.

My LG Dryer timer gets stuck on 6 minutes everytime

Look inside the drum on the right side of the filter. You will see two metal strips, thee are humidity sensors. Wipe them down with soap and water. It worked for me. The info came from LG tech support.

My LG Dryer timer gets stuck on 6 minutes everytime

We had this problem three times. First two times we just removed, cleaned and put back the moisture sensor (metal strips inside). The last time we did as well but it didn't help. We phoned to a service guy and he said unplug the power cord for 20-30 minutes. And it worked!

On sensor dry, dryer remains at 1 minute for hours...will not shut off automatically

I'm sorry to hear of your problem with your LG dryer. I have one as well and it works very well. I found my owners manual. It has a web site WWW.LGSERVICE.com. They also have a toll free number 1-877-714-7486. Perhaps either of these will help you find an answer. Good Luck
