SOURCE: Tumble dryer not heating

Hi irshaad,
If all the componants are good, you are loosing voltage somewhere. Check the voltage to the dryer. If you do not have 220 volts then you have a blown fuse or a kicked breaker in your fuse box. This would allow only 110 volts to get to the dryer and the dryer would run and not heat. If you have the correct voltage to the dryer check the connections on the terminal block and the wires to the block. Before going any further than that I would really rather have your model so I could guide you correctly. Good luck and I really hope this will FixYa.

SOURCE: What is the best way to take the dryer apart in

An easy way to see if the eliment is working is to remove the exaust hose.. Put a mirror near the opening to see if it is getting hot & red..
Depending on what type of exaust line in the house.. If it is the type that goes to the roof - or a long path to the outside exit - it could be clauged.. Be sure exaust hose is not kinked..

I have a daewoo dwr-we3011rr dryer and want to be sure my heating element is bad and not another issue. dryer turns on and tumbles fine but has no heat.

Try to find someone who has an ohm-meter or a multi-meter and can take your machine apart and test the heating element. One that is working should show continuity through the element., One with a blown element should show no current flow through the element.
Be blessed.

My white knight tumble dryer does not heat up,tried pressing the reset button but still does not heat up

you have a heating element burnt out. You will need to remove the back of the dryer and in the bottom of the dryer casing you will see the element Looks like a toaster element. Take model and serial # to an appliance parts house for replacement. An appliance tech shouldn't charge you that much to repair if you dont want to do it yourself.

Good luck hope this helped you some

The tumble dryer is working but not heating??? cleaned all filters and water tank. any ideas???

A tumble dryer that isn't heating up at all needs checking with a continuity test meter. The most common cause is a heating element failure, or t.o.c's going open circuit. Some tumble dryers have heating elements that are easily accessible by removing the back panel, and can be tested for continuity or checked for obvious breakage. Others though have their heating elements inside, which aren't accessible without stripping the dryer down. Tumble dryer heating elements are always protected by thermal fuses which are usually simple devices with 2 wires connected. They can be tested for continuity with a test meter. In your case it is better that y ou call in an engineer to test it. Also overloading and blocked filters can cause the thermostat to cut out and they can also go with simple wear and tear. Check your service manual for spare parts etc

I have no heat from my hotpoint aquariur ctd20 tumble dryer

The element and stats are located behind removable panel at rear of m/c.
To test , you will need a multi meter set on the ohms range for continuity check., and you need to pull the wires of the components to get a proper reading.
THE M/C MUST BE UNPLUGGED prior to this check.
Check and clean all filters, remove the front bottom left filter, and clean by running under cold water.
Hope this helps.
Plz rate my solution
Thanks.

TDC 30 tumble dryer

To test the heating element you need to access it by taking apart the back panel, and test it for continuity using a multimeter.

There are also a couple of fuses/circuit breakers that you should test.

Entering the model number here you get the exploded view, and replacement parts.
