I know the problem... the boxes are "welded": shut plastic... SOMETIMES you can start breaking the weld by finding a place to put the point of a knife in to work around the weld breaking it... OFTEN there will be parts that break chunks of the flange off... You just have to live with that. The object is to leave enough flange to re-glue it. BE VERY careful as it is easy to slip and damage oneself. !!!!

It blinks with "be" and turns off

It may be "but" that you're seeing, which indicates the batteries are low. Use the AC adapter made just for this model only, and the guitar needs to be plugged in to turn the unit on. A full manual for this Zoom model can be found here:

Zoom g1x dc supply not working, my zoom g1x is working when battery operated but if i connect it to a adaptor there is no power, i've already checked my adaptor and it was properly working, what can i...

Is the unit old?? Is it stored in an environment that has temperature fluctuations?? It could be the terminals on the input of the unit have dry jointed. This is when the solder lifts away from the circuit board. I have had the same problem on my ZOOM MRS1608 recording desk. Resolder the connections on the input. The base plate will problably remove easy enough to get to the point where the adapter is soldered onto the circuit board.

Good luck

G1x zoom guitar effects no power even using an adaptor

if you're using an adaptor other than the original zoom, make sure it's 300mA or more and try switching the polarity.

Hi.why my zoom g1x has no power.im using a universal adator...i am in phillpines.power volts here..220 volts.how is the setting of my adaptor then?

I have a ZOOM GX1XN and it doesn't like universal adapters much. Using one with the wrong voltage or polarity may permanently damage your pedal. Try to obtain a proper ZOOM AC adapter (part number AD-0006 or AD-16) if possible. These are dual voltage and will work equally well with both 220 and 110 volts. Failing that you need an adapter that will give a DC (direct current) output of 9 volts at 0.5amps - maximum 4.5 watts. The outer contact (sleeve) of the adapter needs to be positive (+ve) and the inside contact negative (-ve). Lots of universal adapters are the other way around with the sleeve being negative - but some have a multi-connector on the end with both positive and negative sleeves.

My zoom 505 2 distortion pedal for my guitar will not function with batteries and the ac adapter slot is loose in the back, please help

I have had this same problem with mine, since the adapter jack is loose it's probably broken loose from the circuit board inside. I had to carefully dis-assemble and re-solder the adapter jack back to the circuit board. This is un-fortunately a weak point on some of Zoom's pedals, when you or if you get someone who is good at soldering to do it for you ask them to beef the solder joints up a little to help keep it from coming loose again. I re-did mine and I've never had another problem with it.
