Set dead F61 is displayed and the set switchs off. what i did is i took off the jumpers which feeds the audio output ic(THE 6 CHANNEL STK),on doing this the set is turning on. Is the audio output ic defective??or the power regulating STK is defective. what shall i check and replace.

If you do not know what an audio output IC is, what would ordering one do for you? And unless you have the know how and special gear there is no freaking way you could ever replace it.
Either have someone repair it for you or go shopping.

Check hori output and small blue high voltage capacitor 2k that feeds hori output transistor.
If these componets are OK then replace Both of the STK ICs they are big black ICs and will have PN# on them.example STK392-110.

F61 is an error code.
It will automatically shuts down your unit.
This is very common on your unit.

Try to checked if the fan is working or not.
I have repaired some unit before, this is the caused why f61 appeared.
The symptom is shutting down the unit after a few minute.
If the fan is not working it will shuts off automatically to avoid further damaged to your output I.C.

If confirmed that the fan is working then I've suspect that your output I.C. is shorted.
This is quit technical and need to send to repair shop to isolate the faulty parts.
The output IC of your unit is RSN series and quite expensive.

If you are from delhi then you can search the ic in lajpatrai market(chandni chawk).this is not the main ic as the main ic's are "audio power module".If stk 470-040 is blown f61 or some other error is displated according to the systems model and the system is shutdown immediately.

f61 is a protection code. it means theres is a fault with audio output ic, usually there is dc on one of the speaker output rails, replacing the audio output ic will usually cure this but check speakers and leads for shorts before reconnecting to the unit.

As far as I can know, F61 means your output IC is dead. Contact a service centre in your locality for repair!

F61 indicates that regulator IC is gone, simply replace it.

ic stk 470-040 is blown.this is the most common error.just get it changed
