I've fixed over 100 of these beasts, hope i can shed light for you all ;-)

The flashing LED indicates the power supply rails (+28v and -28v) are being pulled down to 0volts by a (typical) fault on the amp board, usually means the amplifier chip has faulted (usually the LF amp, but on occasion can also be the HF amp).

Locate the 3wire(red, black, brown) connector that goes between the amp board and the larger power-supply board and disconnect it at the power-supply end. (it's actually hard-wired on the amp board end).

Now switch on the Amp, the LED should now be stable, which has proven you've isolated the fault.

Order a replacement board from Mackie, the part number is on the PCB.
From memory it's something like "002163-00" or something, but now you know what the part number will look like.

Depending what country you're in, Amp boards are around $100.

Enjoy!

This probably means there is a failure and the internal protection circuits have activated. It will probably have to go to a shop for repair.

I had that problem . I got the schematics and started checking volatges etc. After taking the sections apart, and reconnecting all, and resoldering connections between boards, the speaker worked again for several hours. sad to say that when i brought it to a gig, it just flached the LED again, no power. I will take it apart again. I won't be defeated

No power in Mackie TH-15A

i) I assume the fuse you mentioned was in the mains plug - did you also check the fuse in the TH15A mains input socket? This is accessed by pulling out the tab in the bottom section of the socket (below the centre pin). This is a 3.15Amp antisurge fuse, 20mm type.

ii) If this fuse has blown, then replace it & all may be well ...... but if it blows again, then move to step iii).

iii) With mains disconnected, remove rear panel (outer screws) & check the power supply PCB for damaged components, especially R111 & R112 (100ohms). If the latter are burnt or open circuited, then the amplifier module may have blown.

"How to replace bass driver in mackie thump 15a".
Did you mean, disassembly the speaker enclosure?
Just remove the 16 screws at the rear cabinet, using a screwdriver.
Then remove the 4 screws that secure the speaker, using the hex key. Is the bass driver blown up / broke?

No sound out of my mack th-15a

As Tom Jones sang 'It's not unusual....' The amp has probably gone and you need to get it fixed. These are not the most reliable and I would suggest getting something better from another manufacturer if you can afford it, perhaps a local shop would do you a trade in if they can fix it?

My Mackie Thump TH-15A will not produce any bass. I can get some sound but only from the top tweeter. Whats wrong and how can i fix this?

Could be the crossover has died or the main speaker winding has failed. Open her up and connect on side of the main speaker direct to a 9v battery and then wipe the other wire over the other terminal. If you get a crackling from the speaker then it's likely the crossover, if there is no response at all from the speaker then it is dead and possibly the crossover too.

Make sure ALL interconnected equipment is powered from the SAME receptacle. Use extension cord if necessaary. Use ONLY balanced interconnecting audio lines as well. You have a ground loop... make sure all power connections are three wire.

Blown amp in the TH-15A . Is there a replacement amp assembly I can buy and how much

Yes, the amp section can be replaced. It won't be cheap however. Your best bet is to contact Mackie directly. Do a web search for Mackie Parts and contact the service center. Thay will either take the order directly or refer you to a local supplier based upon your location. They have always been extremely helpful when I used them in the past.
