Question about Sunpak Cameras

Open Question

I have a Sunpak Auto Zoom 3600 Thyristor flash with a dedicated hot shoe adapter for a Canon A1 camera. I just moved up to a Canon Rebel XS Digital SLR. Is there an adapter for the Canon to be able to use the 3600 flash?

SOURCE: I have freestanding Series 8 dishwasher. Lately during the filling cycle water hammer is occurring. How can this be resolved

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

SOURCE: Tamron lens for Xti?

if it is an auto focus lens that works on one eos camera, it should work on almost all of them. the only known exception is that some high end extenders will not fit the eos1dmarkII as it protrudes into the opening too far.
but a good rule is that if it fits without any obstruction issues, it should work. try cleaning contacts on the lens and camera body. if that doesn't fix it, talk to Tamron. you can use it manually, but will not be as easy and you would get less predictable results.

my suggestion is to always go with lens from camera maker.

sounds like there is an issue with the tamron lens. not the camera.
good luck

r-sensor to plug in accessory remote sensor for use instead of the fixed one on the front. This allows flash to mount to the side with the remote sensor on the hotshoe. The other socket that has the interlock with the power switch is for a high voltage input (500V input!) from a special mains powered adapter for continuous power and faster refresh instead of using the batteries.

SOURCE: How to zoom in using Canon EOS Rebel XS?

Zooming is done from the lens on a DSLR, assuming you have a zoom lens on the camera. For example, if your camera came with the 18-55mm lens, you should see the numbers 18, 24, 35 and 55 on the lens barrel with a white index line next to one of the numbers. Turn the barrel to move a different number next to the index line. 18mm is wide angle, 55mm is 'zoomed in'.

You must make sure that the voltage of the flash gun is not too great for the camera if it is then you may damage your camera electrics. Test it using radio triggers off camera.

You will need a "Hot shoe to PC connection adapter" to connect the PC sync cord to your camera

Auto flash does not pop up on Canon7D

This usually means the camera thinks there is something connected to the hot shoe, but there is nothing connected to the hot shoe. Likely one of the micro switches under the rails of the hot shoe is stuck, or you need to tighten the hot shoe. Here is a nice guide to fix this:

According to this list the 30DX's trigger voltage is borderline for use with digital cameras. You may be able to use it with no ill effects, or it may fry your camera. It depends on the particular unit.

No. The PF30X is a dedicated unit, specifically for the particular brand of camera. A Canon unit, such as the one you have, will not work in auto mode on a Nikon camera.

Older Vivitar Flash for new Canon SX10

Not compatible.
Get slave triggers and use them as remote flashes, or buy another film camera.
It seems Vivitar no longer is in the flash business. Get a Sigma or Sunpak digital flash for your SX10

You can use the Sunpak on a bracket with a "slave trigger" and fire the slave with the Nikon's pop-up flash. I do the same with a SunPak 3600 Auto Zoom. Just remember not to have the red-eye feature operating. Those little slave triggers are only a couple of dollars and I already had few brackets.
