It sounds like the magnetron may have either failed or is not being supplied with the extremely high voltage required to run it.
Make sure the !!!!capacitor is discharged!!!!! before attempting any sort of repair.
Check the door interlock switches first then the high voltage diode with either an AVO model 8 on high resistance range for short circuit, the capacitor can fail and go short circuit, the feed fuse on the primary of the high voltage transformer and then finally, the magnetron is best checked by substitution.
Hope that helps.

Does the microwave rotate during cooking?

Most microwave ovens have a "stirrer" blade run by a small pancake motor to help avoid standing waves and hot spots inside the microwave cavity. And most modern microwave ovens have a turntable to turn the food, to provide even more even-distribution of heating.

LG microwave intermittently runs

I would try troubleshooting the "defrost circuit". The behavior sounds like the microwave is cooking in the defrost mode, where it actively cooks then stops allowing the food to rotate and the heat to spread then actively cooking again.

Sharp R-1510 1000 watts microwave, not heating

Sounds like the inverter (power supply for cooking) or the magnatron which does the work----neither are cheap parts.

Panasonic Microwave suddenly won't cook.

Your microwave is detecting an internal shot and shutting down, Most likely due to a faulty Magnetron which is not a part that is worth replacing due to the cost of the part and the decrease in cost of new microwaves.

Own Whirlpool microwave model MH7100XY, everything works on it, however it does not heat anything, heard a small pop and after that it does not warm or cook anything?????

The pop sound is an indicator the magnetron is gone that heats the food. It is cheaper to replace the microwave oven than have it repaired.

Turntable doesn't rotate

Your turntable motor need replacement. tip upside down with dish removed and gain access to turntable motor from underneath.(remove power plug before you start working on the m/wave.) 2 screws hold the small t/table motor in place.Unscrew both and pull motor upwards. Quote the info on the motor for a replacement. I find cooking isnt effected in any wayexcept if you want to bake things like cakes. It then requires the t/table motor.

I have a 2001 GE Spacemaker #JVM1840CD001 that does not heat anything, but runs. What's wrong and how can I fix it?

If your microwave oven "works" meaning that your display, cooking tray rotates, and the light turns on when you open the door, but does not heat the food, the problem usually is with the magnetron circuit. If you hear a loud hum when you try to heat something in the oven usually means that the magnetron has failed. The replacement magetron is about the same price as a new oven, so you are better off buying a new oven.

Microwave does not heat food placed in the center of the turntable. Leaves a cold spot in the middle of the food.

This is normal. That's why I always recommend to my customers that the food be placed slightly off-center on the turntable. An analogy I refer to is stirring paint: If you stir paint with a stick by simply rotating the stick in the center of the can, it's far less effective than pulling the stick around an imaginary circle halfway bewteen the center and the edge.
