Hi, In order to disable the on board video card you would have to get into BIOS page by tapping on the "Del" key as soon as you power on the computer. Once you are at the Bios mode go to advance setting in order to disable On board VGA card. Thank you for your time and best wishes for your effort.

You have to get into bios setting to disable On board VGA card man, just restart your system , on the time system getting on press f8 or delete key or any equivalent key to enter BIOS mode , because different manufacture used to have different key to enter into BIOS mode. After you get into Bios mode just look over and go to advance setting to disable On board VGA card.

Good luck ! if you think your problem solved don't forget to rate

In the bios there should be a tab for onboard devices. Just scroll through the tabs until you find one called VGA. Cycle through the options and pick disable if the option is enable/disable only selections....or pick auto if the choices are either onboard or pci-x , pci, etc.....

Adding a video card

if you have a video VGA plug on back of your computer and it is not an added card, then it is built in. You can disable most on-board video via settings in the rom bios.

No video from the board

Check the motherboard user guide for how to reset to default factory settings. If the BIOS is set to work with the on-board only and the on-board VGA is dead the motherboard is supose to detect that and switch to AGP. If is not doing that chances are not only the on-board VGA controller is gone ... the motherboard is gone too.
Try with a PCI video card.

1.Reboot with the AGP or PCI video card installed - assuming the on-board is gone but the motherborad still OK.
2. Press DELETE key
is supose to go in BIOS settings menu.
Browse and Look for on board VGA adapter ENABLE/DISABLE setting or something similar.

(My bet ? You need a new motherboard.)
